    They advertise that they accepted by insurance. I reached out to them via email. I provided my insurance information. I was then asked to schedule an appointment. I had one therapy session. I was then emailed and informed they are out of network and charged more than what they said. I told them not to charge my credit card. They did any ways and charged me the wrong amount. I would not have scheduled an appointment if I knew they were out of network.

    To Whom It May ******************************* apologize for the inconvenience this caused this client, ***********************. 

    It is the responsibility of the client to check their medical insurance coverage before seeing a provider. 

    We reduced her invoice significantly when we charged her credit card ****** instead of ****** for an Initial Psychiatric Evaluation which is the amount we bill insurance companies. When we called her insurance company they said she could take the invoice and submit to her medical insurance, and we told her this.  ********************* said they would reimburse her the percentage they do for out of network.

    We billed her at our private pay rate which is listed on our website and the website states out of network.

    The client told us not to charge her credit card after the charge was made.  The extra amount that was charged by Stripe which is their transaction charge.

    We do advertise we take her insurance but found when we went to bill her insurance, we did not accept her specific insurance plan.  ******************* companies have several different plans and we are contract with some.

    I am rejecting this response because: They charged me $129 and per their email it was supposed to be $125. There was no mention of a reduction. They should have and are obligated to verify in-network insurance and inform patients prior to scheduling an appointment not after. I had no way of otherwise knowing as they advertised acceptance of the insurance, and I provided my insurance information a week ahead of the appointment. Had they informed me of their out-of-network status, I would have never scheduled the appointment.
