I called yesterday to make an appointment for a 90 minute massage (medium pressure). The advertised price was $90 but when I got there, was told the price is $130. The woman insisted that the ladies massage is $130 and comes with hot stones and facial mask, neither of which I wanted. The service for which I made an appointment was for a 90 minute massage only, according to the services offered on their website. Finally I just agreed to the $130, and was forced to pay in advance. I used a card to pay (debit card, mind you) and was told its a $5.00 fee for paying with a card!! Then, I was taken into a room and my massage started 10 minutes late. What was supposed to be a 90-minute massage was more like 75 minutes, if that. During the procedure, the massage therapist also left the room multiple times to go and retrieve various items (stones, etc. which I didn't ask for, hot towels etc.), then proceeded to burn me with the stones and searing hot towels. Then, I came out after it was finished and the woman is standing there waiting for me with her card reader again demanding a TIP!! After this awful and misleading experience I actually planned to leave without paying any MORE in the form of a tip. This service already cost $45 above the clearly advertised price. I explained to the woman that I didnt want to leave a tip and explained why. She then proceeded to argue with me. Against my better judgment, I pulled out $10, handed it to her and she STILL continued to fight with me and said I should give her at least $20. At that point I just walked out, but not before explaining that TIPS are optional and not required. You do not harass a customer for a tip, especially after all of the misleading charges and price information vs. what is advertised. This is not a reputable business and they need to be investigated. Beware!
