      My husband hit a dear on his way to work on 01/05/23. We filed a claim that same day and took the car to Columbia Body and Paint the next day for an estimate. The estimate was $5,299.76 which was deposited into my husbands account and then paid to the body shop on 01/09/23. We kept the car at home because they told us to bring it in once they had the parts for it. We had to keep calling and calling to check in the parts and they finally said we could take it in on 03/13/23 because they had the parts. Months have gone by and we have kept calling and going in to check up on the car and they keep saying "we will have it ready for you by next friday". They also continued to call our insurance asking for more money because they need more parts. We kept calling every week and kept getting axcuses until they stopped answering. Two weeks ago we went in and talked to someone there who said the car is almost done but we can give you your money back or have the car ready for you by the following Friday. It was not done by then though. My husband went in again today and no one was in the office but the shop doors were open and saw that the car looked the same and had no work done to it. He asked one of the workers when his car will be done and the worker stated once he has the parts because he can't work on the car with no parts. The issue is they had told us back in March they already had parts and have already gotten paid and we were told two weeks ago the car was almost done but there is clearly no work done to it. The worker also told my husband that the shop is going through legal issues as well. It has been over 6 months and my car has not been fixed and no parts ordered and there's no one we can get ahold of and it's starting to feel like we will never get the car or money back.
