I tried purchasing a food truck from Stone Kings that works with jrs food trailers. A contract was sent to me stating delivery charge of $800 due and $1000 due upon delivery and my acceptance of the truck. I signed and sent the money to the number provided *************) via Apple Pay 6/21/2023. I was provided a tracking number (star7899) for star1logistics.com. When I checked it, it showed it was on hold. I asked why and ***** told me to contact them to find out. The phone number on the site doesnt work so I messaged them and was told I had to pay $1000 for insurance on the shipment. I explained $800 was what I was told and they said no I had to pay another $1000. I explained I wasnt doing that cause at this point Im very skeptical. They said it was refundable once the truck got here. I told ***** I wouldnt send anything else until the truck arrived and I accepted it and if they couldnt honor the price I was given to refund my $800 and cancel the contract. ***** said that wasnt possible at this point and I told him I couldnt get the number to work for the shipping company so he gave me the number he used and it sounded like the same person when I got through. So I told him to cancel the contract since he wasnt going to honor it. He stated he didnt tell me about the $1000 because its refundable. I explained that was not mentioned to me beforehand and he told me to take the money from my husband and send it anyway. I either want my $800 back and the contract cancelled or the truck delivered. He keeps insisting I send the money but I have explained Im not sending another dime until the truck is delivered
