1). I had been told in January 2024 by TWO different employees that once I hit the one year **** of having my insurance, I could get my permanent crown for free, I just had to wait until August and they could put on a temporary crown in the meantime. It was explained to me that they would just take the temporary crown I had and use that as a mold to make the permanent ****** June 2024, I had called to schedule appointments for August for the permanent crown, as well as for pain with a different tooth. During this call, I was told that the permanent crown process would be done over the course of two appointments (which was never explained to me before) and that they did permanent crowns by scanning, not by what I had been told.I called later to confirm about the permanent crown being free. Again, I was told that this was inaccurate and that I would actually be paying $500 for the permanent crown.I had to schedule my appointments for October. 2). On October 2nd, 2024, I received a call from the office saying that they couldn't find my insurance plan. I explained to them that I'd had 5 separate phone calls with this office from June 3rd-September 9th and they'd said the same thing, only for it to be resolved during those calls. Every call, they would tell me that they didn't see my insurance plan on file, they'd look around for a bit, and then they'd tell me, "Oh, found it! It's active!"Every. Single. Time. I explained this to them during this call. They said they'd look into it because it "looked weird on their end".Later that day, I received an email saying that my insurance had been terminated due to "non-payment" on May 31st, 2024. And because it was now past the 90 day **** of being able to reinstate my insurance, I wouldn't be able to reenroll until NEXT YEAR on June 1st, 2025.Mind you, I never received a letter in the mail, an email, text, phone call, anything about this. Not about the late payment, not about only having 90 days to fix it, Nothing.

The way WD runs is atrocious. I called about a fractured tooth the first week in September 2023 and it took over 2 weeks to get in and 3 follow up appointments about a 1 or 2 weeks apart before they would refer me on to get it pulled. The oral surgeon took another month+ to get me on their calendar simply to confirm what we all know, I broke my tooth and it needs to come out. All the while this tooth is getting infected so I've been dealing with that. I finally got it pulled December. That turn around time for an actual emergency is unacceptable.8/19/2024 Getting the same run around again but this time it's for my son (6 yo). I called months ago to get 3 teeth that clearly have cavities looked at. They scheduled the appointment (just to look at it) a month out from that call. About 2 weeks before his appointment he was complaining of pain so I called to try and get him in sooner. I felt like I had to be really pushy to get him on the calendar faster. They finally did after they made me qualify the urgency. It felt like they were looking for a specific buzz word to justify a faster appointment. The actual appointment, they looked, confirmed what I already knew (he had cavities) and referred him on because the cavities looked like they would need care they couldn't (or wouldn't) provide. Where they referred him to, Pediatric Dental Associates, has not called. It's been weeks. I called twice and left messages each time and have heard nothing. I do not want my son to have the same experience I have had so I have decided to eat the cost and go somewhere else. I called a different local office this morning they were able to get him in tomorrow morning. Willamette Dental is a joke of a dentist they have applied corporate ideas to socialized medicine and it's not working.

I had been going to willamette for almost 20 yrs. In the last few years the care I have received has been borderline inhumane and subpar. I had to have a Maryland bridge repaired the staff member didnt know how to replace or repair and slammed me in the mouth multiple times trying to remove it. Giving me a fat, ****** lip. I had to grab her arm and stop her and demand she ask for help. On a separate occasion came in for a cleaning and have very good oral health. The staff member was extremely rough and bruised my gums and was stabbing them with the tool used to measure your gum health. She also was aggressively pulling at my bonding. Bonding I mentioned I had and was noted in my chart. She ended up cracking it and a piece broke off. They informed me I would have to pay for it to be repaired. I have never bled from a dental cleaning. It was bizarre. I again went back to have a filling repaired and requested silver be used to repair filling. I was quoted a price and told it would be noted in my chart for the dentist. Apparently it was not because after the appointment when I went to check out..they informed me silver was not used and I owed a different price. I asked to speak with the office manager. She immediately had a bad attitude and was extremely rude and condescending to me. She told me whatever the call center said was not there problem. I told her I didnt speak to the call center I spoke face to face with the receptionist. She smirked and said well then I should have checked with the dentist. Its been almost 6 months and they still have not adjusted the bill and keep blowing me off about the bill and telling me come back in another week the office manager has to sign off. As I said before this has been going on for almost 6 months! I have since switched dental insurances and will never go back to willamette. The lack of care, experience is horrible. You are treated like you are less than human. Extremely unprofessional and unethical treatment.

There is definitely socioeconomic discrimination practices across every level. If you ask any questions about inconsistencies in any treatments, explanations, or information they will humiliate you and retaliate against you. You WILL not get instructions nor information that is trustworthy. The part that's most concerning is not one person is really bothered by these harmful practices or effects on human beings. This was not the treatment I experienced while I had employer provided plans.

They do the sketchiest fillings. They fall out after a few weeks or months, they don't stand by their work. They drill the wrong teeth and claim they didn't do that. Place is a joke.

Unwilling to work with patients. Either you take the apparent 1 and only appointment time or you dont receive treatment. And they dont seem to care at all. No concern for any pain you my be in. Just a take it or leave kind of attitude
