    This business owner has prepared our taxes for several years, check made out to her name. For tax year 2022, gave all documents, receipts, W-2s, everything to *********************** April 6th in person. ***** sent text evening of April 17th that our taxes will be filed on time. Sent her text message April 19th requesting to meet her and pay her. No response so texted her to tag me on May 1st. She responded that she has been busy planning a wedding. On May 22nd, after no other contact from *****, I asked to get a copy of a document she had. No response, sent another text May 31st, asking if she was OK. ***** responded same day, she's OK but heading to **** and she will send copy of requested document. I received nothing from her at all. On Monday June 12th, I texted her to say I need the exact amount of our Federal tax return so I can track it. I told her we had not received either Federal or *************** refunds and questioned if we might be being audited. No response from her so I drove to her home/business and she was not home. ********* said she was there earlier and mowed the lawn and I could hear her dog was in the house barking. I waited for awhile then called the manager of the mobile home court and asked if she had been seen. I only told him I was worried about her since I hadn't hear anything since she traveled to ****, I was concerned about her. I went home and after 1 1/2 hours on hold with ****** Revenue, I found our taxes had not been filed. Now I'm faced with questions as to why she didn't file even if late it would still be OK to do so and was told no penalties since we get refunds and not have to pay taxes to the State or Federal. I sent another text, told her I was looking for her and had been to her house. I made a demand for my documents back, told her I knew she didn't file either and she broke my heart. I thought we were friends. On our other filings, she listed a PTIN of P01057973 on Federal and a Preparer license number ********** on ****** forms.
