******************* was hired to provide a vehicle shuttle service for our rafting trip on the Owyhee on 5/10/23 from ****, OR to ******************, OR. First the morning of our ***** she never showed up with the shuttle drivers. After never receiving a call from her we called and were forced to leave our vehicles in **** for her to pick up after our departure. We paid her $660 for the three vehicles to be shuttled to ****************** and $50 for my vehicle to be shuttled to her property in Jordan ****** where it was to be stored safely. After our trip we were inform by our boat driver that my vehicle allegedly broke down and **** left it at a ******** gas station. Upon arriving at ************************************************* it was clear that my vehicle was towed and impounded, not stored safely. My vehicle had dirt all over the driver seat interior and the coolant had been blasted all over the engine bay, a sign of driving a vehicle beyond its overheating point which is negligent. This cost me an additional $293 for the tow, impound fees and storage at the ********. From there I was forced to tow my vehicle to the dealership in *****, **. The tow from Jordan ****** to *****, ** cost me an additional $780. Upon arrival to the dealership their mechanic informed me that the driver on my car during the shuttle (****) had been driving when my vehicle overheated and likely kept driving as the entire short block engine was fried and coolant was plastered all over the engine bay. The splatter of the coolant all over the engine bay is another signifier when a car overheats and the driver does not pull over. The dealership said the only option was to replace the engine, costing me an additional $8,368. Since I did not have a vehicle and needed a hotel in *****, this incurred an additional $300 in hotel costs. **** required ** to only pay in cash and denied any responsibility or accountability for what happened to my vehicle. Her negligence cost me a total of $9,791 and should be investigated.

The first complaint is that I didn't meet them to hand off keys, I was at the boat ramp with several other customer's helping them with keys and money. I was never approched by the ******* party and thought maybe that they either were running late or a no show. I also was in plan site of the boat ramp, I got all customer's squared away and orgainized my ****************** run for the day, all this took well over an hour in which someone from the ******* party could have approached me as all my other customers do., which they never did.  I was there, I didn't know I needed to go around and ask who the ******* party was? As I said all my other customer's were there to meet me.

Attached is my form in which each individual has to fill out in order for me to shuttle said vehicles, you will notice my terms of agreement. one is ... in case the vehicle becomes inoperable, unsafe, or unlawful for any reason we, Owyhee Adventure Shuttle LLC will let you know where your behicle is.  No refunds will be allowed if the vehicle is unsafe, they will be left at the launch area. Our first impression was the car was having problems, but thought it would make it to the storage area 35 miles away.   Upon entering the car I did notice that is was messy, but we as a shuttle company do not in any way get the vehicles dirty on the inside. The vehicle to be stored at my property was unsafe, it ran poorly from **** to Mile marker 40, it was driven 10 miles total. The car gages never registered that it was hot.  ********* was running poorly and upon pulling over, it quit.  The vehicle was unsafe and not in good running order, the decession to call our local tow company to get it off the highway was made and I called the emergency contact and left a message that the car was in Jordan ******************* was also talk on the boat tow that my brother in Law did, stating they knew the car was in poor working order. And also that they were aware of the terms of agreement.  All this being said, my company did everything we could to make sure that the situation was taken care of on our end.

I do not feel that I was negligenant in any way, our company cannot make a silk purse out of a sow's ear so to speak.  We have moved many vehicles this year and no one has left us with a vehicle that ran as bad as this one did. In conclusion the vehicle was not safe to drive in any way.
