I purchased 4 windows, I sliding door and a garden window from Win-r insulation on 4-18-23. They were installed on or about May 20, 2023. On or about October 2023 it started getting cold and my husband and I went on vacation. When we got back I noticed the my garden window had condensation and mold on the bottom of the window between the glass and the wood window flooring. I took pictures and called the company. I spoke with ******* ******. She asked me to send them to her and she would take a look and forward them to the company that made the windows. It took several weeks and no one was getting back to me so I called ******* again and left a message. No one was returning my calls to I went to the office of Win-R. She contacted the company again and they said all looked good and nothing was done. I cleaned them the best that I could and waited to see if this was just a one time thing. Spring came and it wasnt noticeable that it was still happening so I figured maybe I just over watered the plants. Put a plastic tray to catch any water that might have spilled when I watered my plants. The tray covered most of the window so nothing was noticeable until I took everything out of the window and pulled the tray out and noticed that it had happened again. I showed. Different companies and this not normal. I should contact the installer again and ask them to come to my house and take a look at all the windows because it wasnt just the garden window. It was all the windows. Some more extreme then others. I went to the office of Win-r and ******* looked at pictures again. ******* come over and look at the windows, manufacture said nothing looked wrong. She asked an employee working for her for years and asked if he had ever seen anything like this and he said in his 20 years he had not. ******* *** from manufacturer talked Ridiculous. Too many people in the home. Too much cooking. Need to put in a dehumidifier. ******* company looked at windows and said gas has escapedBusiness Response

I have attached all email correspondence from client, myself and manufacturer. I have also attached an additional picture and original billing with notes on it as well. On the 11th of March, 2025, you can see I wrote to Virginia and the manufacture and told her if she makes NO changes that the manufacturer and ***** has suggested, her windows will continue to do this. She refuses to listen to any suggestions and takes no accountability for her home and how it is maintained. We do not care how people want to live, however when we are being blamed for something we cannot control, it's unacceptable. It's hard to help someone and genuinely want to bring resolution, when the client is not willing to accept any responsibility for an environment they created. We cannot control the amount of plants they have and are not willing to create proper ventilation or airflow. Please let us know if you have any additional questions or want any other pictures or notes.

I am rejecting this response because:
name calling aside. When we first had these windows installed. Yes it took me 2 days to say anything about the windows not have the color I chose. I was very excited about the new windows. Finally being able to get my garden window.
I would think a business would double check the product before bringing it out to install. I guess not. I looked at my paperwork and it stated sand color. So I know this was not my mistake it was either hers or the manufacturer.
As for the reduction in price due to the color of the lines on my windows of $2,000.00. She is the one that blurred out that amount. All I said was how much of a reduction? This was all done over the phone. When she said $2,000.00 I said yes and gave her my credit card for final payment. My trip to ***** had nothing to do with final payment since I have several credit cards I could have used.
i have replaced windows in 3 of my other homes and have never had this type of problem. So I am not a *** happy kind of person.
i first called ******* on or about October 2023. I was told to take pictures and send them to her. She would take a look and if needed she would forward to manufacturer. I gave ******* a lot of time to get back to me. I called ******* again asking about my windows and what was going to be done. She said she would call or email and they should contact me in about a week or so if not then to give her another call. I received an email from the manufacturer and they said everything looked fine. I called ******* and asked if she had any ideas of what I could do with my garden window. I think she said to ****** it for ideas. Really cant remember. I just figured I was on my own to resolve this. I have gone to different events hoping to find out for myself. Everyone I showed these pictures too couldnt believe these were only months old windows. I have tried several things but it just happens in the winter months when its very cold. At this time it was only my husband and I that lived at the house.
This is more than one window having condensation. Its just extreme on my garden window. Its my sliding door in my bedroom and 3 out of the 4 windows installed that have some type of collected condensation. ******* remark that i (hoarder lady) having 80 plants in my home is ridiculous. I have less than 20. It was the first time ******* or any employee ever came out to my house March 2025. Since I have been complaining of this problem. When they were installed back in 2023.
I had ******* come out to give me a quote for another product and they told me they also do windows so I asked them if they would mind taking a look at my windows for ideas of what I could do since ***** would not come out from win-r rep?
******* from Debella said it was the gas from the windows and pointed out some places that looked like a problem.
I could go on with everything I have tried but just because I did not agree with what ******* and ***** were saying didnt mean I did not try to do everything was asked to do to try and save my windows.
I did purchase a dehydrator for my window, I did install insulation under my garden window outside and one step more I cemented my flower garden outside under the window to help but now that the weather is warmer I might not find out until winter if it worked. I would just like a window inspector that is not associated with win-r company to come out and see if it is a fix of replacing the gasses back in the windows or is it just this house. Im trying to do my part it would just be nice if ******* would do hers. I have more pictures but could only upload
As you can see I do have several plant in my garden window. It was winter and they need sun and they would have died if I put them outside. As for the cooking and people living in my house when this started it was only my husband and my living there in 2023. My daughter and her family moved in September of 2024. So when ******* from Winr came yes we have stuff everywhere due to the family moving in to our home in the winter and we had to put things in boxes in our house. But all that aside. We are talking about windows. Just because I didnt agree with what was said about the condensation didnt mean I wouldnt try their recommendations. I did buy a dehumidifier and put it next to the biggest problem window and put the insulation at the bottom of the garden window. I would just like to get a window inspector that has nothing to do with win r windows for their opinion since Ive been told by other window vendors that this is not normal. Ive replaced windows in 3 of our other homes and have never come across this with new windows. These arent even 2 years old and it happened after only about 5 months of installation. I really think she is sour about her mistake of not putting the change in color strips and blurred out the $2000.00 reduction in price. All this being on her and not me. I dont know how I would be able to force a company to do anything but ask BBB to step in and help me.
Thank you

I dont know what Im doing wrong. Here is the answer as to when I first complained about the windows. I have several screen shots of the emails first sent. But before that there were phone calls and that is when she told me to send pictures so she could forward them to the manufacturer.

All emails submissions from the client have been responded to by the manufacturer and our team. The response, after both of us looked at it, has and will always be, the CLIENT needs to remove moisture from inside of the home... moisture created from the 50 house plants she keeps. There will always be a moisture issue if she does not take any of the 8-10 suggestions we have both made. We want her home to function great and to look as good inside, as they STILL does outside. We have no control on how a client treats new items once an installation is completes. There is no further action any of us can do to rectify her moisture problem, created by their living conditions.Customer Answer

I have been thinking a lot about when I made the payment 6/8/23 for $900.50. We were in ****** until May 27 th. I went back to the office when we got back from ****** to see if ******* had heard anything more about the color of the trim not being correct. I didnt want to make a final payment until I heard back. I had to call again to see what was going on and that is when ******* blurted out $2,000.00 discount due to the error and I remember asking $2,000.00 ok. Here is my credit card information and I made a final payment and asked if she could send me a receipt.Customer Answer

I do not agree with what ******* from Win-R insulation stated. First she says I have 80 plants now its 50 plants if she looks as the pictures I have less then 20. Except this is not the only window with this problem. She is aware that it was several windows. I have done several of the recommendations and I guess I will see if it helps come winter. I guess the company states I have a warranty but when it comes to standing behind that warranty it is as good as the company backing the warranty. Which is not very good.

Would also like to add that ******* and 1 guy didnt get the name since I was not there the day the two of them came to my home. Only my husband was there. The manufacturer only saw pictures and rep ***** only spoke to me by phone dont know if he was sent pictures or not. Did suggest several things and I did do some changes but I am not going to ask my family to move out. ( the amount of people in the home. Per *****. At the time when they were installed it was just my husband and I.(2023)
To much cooking again only 2 people at the time when this started.
Dehumidifier installed for my house. Purchased one that I can put in the garden window when we cook or sit down to eat. Do not have central heating and air conditioning only wall heater in each room for heating. House was built in 2007 so it is not an old house. I have installed additional insulation in the attic in 2024.
All I am really asking is to have the windows and sliding door to insulate my home.
Garden window to add light and beauty to my home and not mold to our breathing and make us sick. I have 12 plants and was so happy I could keep orchids alive and keep them blooming year after year. Poinsettia alive and turn red again the following year and still alive. Living in ****** has made growing flowers and fruit trees impossible so this was a way I could add color and flowers back to my home.
Then a big disappointment when all this mess started to happen and when asked the first time in 2023 what to do more or less to ****** it. So at that point I have been dealing with this on my own until I started asking at home shows and other window vendors if this was normal. When they saw the pictures they could not believe what happened and that the company wasnt helping me fix the problem. So that is when I didnt accept that nothing could be done and it was all my fault. I asked another business ******* if she would be willing to look at my windows and noticed several things wrong. I should ask again to have Win-R come out and look at all the windows so I did. Since Win-R did not want to help and put it all on me. I decided to contact BBB for assistance.
