      I was notified within the last 12mo. that I still owe $700 on a bill that I thought was already paid.I paid once for the service in full (a three time laser package for my face) paid in full with my credit ******* was around $2,800.I asked at the counter im paying in full, correct?I would like to pay for everything today and not have anything to pay later.I dont want to have a payment plan. They let me know that I was paying for the entire service ONCE right there with my credit card.I was not told that there would be other payments that would take months to show up or other charges that I wasnt aware of that day.A few months later in the mail I received what I thought was a reimbursement check from my insurance.I waited a couple of months to cash it.I figured my insurance covered it and I cashed the check.A couple months go by before they notice,they call me and say that it was a mistake.They werent supposed to issue me a check it was an accident, etc.I tried talking to a few lawyers first.who each told me I had no choice but to pay them back although this was no fault of my own. The hosp. subtracted the last appointment that I never got to go to from the payment, so I only had to pay for the two that I DID go to.I was angry. I had to be put on a payment plan to pay this off, but I did not want to be in bad standing although I had already paid for this once in full,so I paid interest and all.On the day that I made my last payment my bank made a mistake and rejected the payment.I called the dermatology clinic and said I need to fix my last payment.The woman on the phone told me that I still had a balance of $700.I was shocked.She told me it was a room usage fee & was separate from the plan I just paid. I wasnt aware of it (likely they had notified me when I was getting calls for the check I cashed, I thought it was the same bill, I was confused)I have been sent to collections for this and now its effected my credit score.i have no receipts but can get them
