      I was quoted a price over the phone and scheduled an appointment for pump flow testing and potability testing, no contract or written quote was ever provided. When the technicians arrived, they advised that they couldnt complete the work with the equipment they had and would have to return to their shop to gather additional equipment and personnel. I was not at the job site and was never contacted by the business advising of any issues. I then received a bill for nearly twice what I was quoted and the justification they gave was that they didnt have the proper information to prepare appropriately for the job. This information was never ask of me. I disputed the bill, they say they already refunded it due to their error but still demand nearly twice what was originally quoted. They are threatening sending me to collections over adjusting the invoice. Advise please?

      My name is ******************************* and I am the current operations manager here at Cascade Water Systems located in ********* ******.
      I received your letter 2-16-24 from our corporate location about a complaint filed by one of our clients we serviced recently.

      For clarity, I have attached the letter that was sent to *******/************************* it was sent through our accounting department, in it highlights the miscommunication in what style of well head she had and the portion of the bill that went unbilled before she was invoiced.

      One note aside my office manager fielded a phone call and spoke to ******************************* for around 30 minutes going over the information about the billing. She went over this with her about the differences in head and the different costs. ******************** was upset but also was believed the error solely fell on us and backtracked during the conversation on when information was provided and how it was relayed.

      In the case of the lack of a contract; we dont have any contractual information written for work below $2,000. We have a small staff and have very little time to write contracts for all the smaller jobs we do day to day. This was a job that was asked to be done quickly so the sale of the house would not be hindered by the testing.
