    I hired lake oswego chimney sweep to repair my gas fireplace They agreed to a $129 fee to assess the problem, which would be applied to the total cost est per inital phone call $300 to $400 i am a physician who was on call the night the repairman came and gave my nanny my credit card and she paid it turns out that a tech named *****, with a different company, did the work and charged $599.00 invoice stated that the work was done by chimney4you at ************, and *****'s number is ************ after ***** left, i noticed that the fan, previously working, was now NOT working, and a metallic smell of overheating occurred after the fireplace was on for just a few minutes i made a number of calls to lakeoswegochimneysweep and often phone was answered by a voice saying "online services"....i explained the problem to them and to *****...***** told me on feb 9 to call him back on feb 12 to schedule a visit for feb 13, when he would be back in lake oswego (from washington)....i called and sent two texts without response, i kept the afternoon of 2-13 free as that was when he said he would have time....i tried him again on 2-13 and he said he could not come out....he offered a few times later in the week that did not work, but with his limited availability and the fact that i never hired his company, i got back with lakeoswegochimney sweep, spoke on feb 14, 2024 with a man named *****, who said he was the manager but would not give his last name....i explained the situation, told him i had briefly discussed the situation with an atty and 2 realtors, and all thought the situation was suspicious...***** became agressive and refused to go further in the conversation and hung up on me...i told him i was taping the conversation, which i did without objection....frankly i am scared, think there is a scam going on here (no address on their website, so to fill out this form i used LO City Hall's otherwise could not do it), and i have disputed the charges to chase bank.

    i had northwest natural come out to my home on 2-21-24 for a free inspection

    at that time, they fixed the fan so it works now and noted that the fan motor was dirty (it should have been working and clean after the initial visit by lake oswego chimney sweep / chimney4u)

    i have now hired all fuel installation and service to come out to work on the fan and fix the fireplace as should have been done in the first place by lake oswego chimney sweep / chimney4u

    see attached for nw natural report, and i will provide the all fuel company receipt after they visit, which they cannot do until over a week from now
