I am an avid art collector. I stopped in Freed gallery and purchased several items totaling over $3000. One item was a blown glass vase at $2300 +/-. After I made the purchase, I was interested in acquiring more work so I contacted the artist and their prior business partner and found out that his vases top out at $1400, meaning the gallery overcharged me by nearly $1000. I have attempted to contact the gallery owner; she will not respond. I got a NASTY email from the salesperson that helped me that day, when it wasn't even his situation, it was more on the owner of the gallery. I told them I want my money back OR to be compensated for the over charge and they will not respond. I will file a small claims lawsuit should going through the BBB can't resolve the problem.

I am rejecting this response because: The gallery is not providing any resolution, only a copy of the receipt, which is not a resolution, it's a copy of a piece of paper! As I have told the gallery own via email in the past is that I would like to bring the piece back for a refund. It has never been out of the box that they packed it in. A refund is what is acceptable to me as I was significantly overcharged for the item. I buy a lot of art, I was just at a gallery in ***** ********** today and purchase 5 pieces. This gallery could have saved me as a customer if Ms. ******************** would have handled the situation, but since she refused to even call me, I would like a refund, in full, for the piece. I have shopped at dozens of galleries and this has never happened before, not ever, I have had ********** with any other gallery other than hers. It's too bad she handled it so poorly, she could have saved a customer and a good one! So for her just to send a copy of the receipt makes no sense and in fact shows how unprofessional she really is. At this point, nothing other than a full refund for the 1 piece is acceptable.
    Thank you for your time.

    Sincerely,

    *******************************
