If I could rate leaving a negative star that is where I would start! My mother passed away in January 2023, her body was donated to science with the understanding that once they got what they needed she would be returned to Crown Memorial for cremation. Well long story short she was returned beginning to mid October and she is still laying there waiting to be cremated and returned to family. The funeral director isn't prompt in returning calls or emails, goes up towards a month before you will need to reach out for answers, constantly finding excuse after excuse as to why things are not being done in a timely manner and will put the blame on others instead of taking responsibility for her lack of awareness of the happenings of her facility. She is rarely there as she goes back and forth between ********* and ***************. When she is in office she lacks communication and customer service skills. Of course the last communication was that she was going to email the people in charge of the process on 11/22 and it is now 12/21 and not a word. At no surprise when I reach out she has an out of office response stating she won't be back until the end of the month. Never mind the fact that there are families that are waiting for answers as well as the remains of their loved ones. So super glad that she is able to afford to take time away from work for the holidays while we wait for her to return to do her job! Have to say to those looking for these types of services: first I am so sorry for your loss, second please make sure that you read the reviews of facilities prior to hiring one, and lastly when it comes to ****** (funeral director) if you are hoping for empathy or for the minimum of decent customer service...you need to look elsewhere as you won't find either of those at Crown Memorial *********!

I only left one star because this system won't allow to leave zero stars. CMC has been one of the biggest nightmares of my life. My husband died on 2/24/24. Crown retrieved him from home and I will say the people who came were very professional but after that things went straight downhill. "*****" the Funeral Director was quite useless. She seemed to be most interested in my paying the fee. Once that was done I NEVER heard from her again...including sending me a receipt for the payment. She also did not get the original fingerprints to me as I asked so I am left with digital prints. And I'm not sure who they got the hair clippings from but my husband as he was quite bald and very little body hair was left after chemo. There was definitely NOT an 1.5 inch lock of hair anywhere, which it what I received. I must say it was a bit of a test on my part to see if I was getting jerked around, and what do you know...CMC failed miserably. I can't help but wonder what grieving family did not get their loved ones hair that I received. Now of course I have no confidence that I even received his ashes. I have been devastated by this business. I am incredibly depressed and anxiety ridden to a point that I now need medical care. No two people at CMC will give you the same answers. It appears the right hand does not know what the left is doing. Their customer service is non-existent.. I would never recommend CMC to anyone. I apologize to my husband everyday for having trusted CMC with my loved one. I hope nobody ever has to feel the way CMC has made me feel. I don't know how they sleep at night. Clearly, as anyone can see by reading the other reviews, I am not alone in my grief. CMC needs to be shut down.

My dad passed away and CMC was chosen for a basic cremation. My parents were together for over 60 years, so you can imagine the devastation my mom was feeling. CMC made the grieving process over the initial period of time after my dad passed so much harder for my mom and family. EVERY step of the way it was up to me to get in contact with them to receive ANY answers. Dad passed away the weekend prior to the Christmas weekend, so I preface my statements with that I totally understand that delays might happen due to holiday time, staffing shortages, mechanical problems and weather. However, what we experienced was just sheer incompetence, lack of sense urgency and poor customer service. NO COMMUNICATION!After dad was picked up from the hospital by CMC, not once did we hear from anyone from CMC in the 3 weeks after his death except through the automated email 'receipt' after I submitted the form to get the cremation process started (and paid for!). Only through my initiation of phone calls or emails were we able to find out where he was and what the status was of his body. Each of my attempts through phone calls were met with my calls ringing & ringing until after 3 minutes the phone system finally reported, "we are having technical difficulties, please try your call again later.", and I was hung up on. NO VOICE MAIL WHAT-SO-EVER during this time. Or, after trying multiple location numbers, I would reach someone, however they could not provide me any information and asked me/us to wait for someone to reach out. "Please give us ***** hours". I even sent an email at the end of the first week to several of the locations asking for someone to contact me. NOTHING.It took us actually physically going into the *************** the 2nd week to get the ball rolling. Horrible working model and customer service. Find another caring business to take care of your family member. I wish i could leave zero stars!

13 weeks to receive the death certificates. They lied to us. Incompetent staff, worst communication. Read the reviews and go elsewhere.

The absolute worst of the worst. Been waiting on death certificates going on 2 months. All legal matters are on hold just waiting for them.
