Disabled, opted to not do patient portal, just emails and texts, was forced into patient portal. Said fine. They never used patient portal, they called incessantly and left no voicemails. Fine. Went in, they're demanding a second appointment for contacts I've used a decade, I try to wave it. Told I can't. Then told I can. Then told I can't. I ordered ***** contacts and they cancelled my order due to permissions. Fine, I get it, HIPPA. Then I got the runaround another month. Then i was told, by eye doctor when I threatened to escalate to a legal issue in the patient portal since it's illegal to withhold my prescription, that I had to do a written or verbal release of prescriptions. I replied in the patient portal, said I give full permission to release, asked if that was ok, if anything else was needed, any official paperwork- NEVER. RESPONDED. OVER A MONTH WITHOUT A RESPONSE from the HEAD OPTHALMOLOGIST. I order my contacts again through the third party and they cancel AGAIN and call multiple times again without leaving voicemail, finally saw a message a month later saying I need to fill out a form on the portal. 2 minute form. TLDR They will do whatever they can to get as much money from you as possible and make it as difficult as possible for you- They will also break ADA ************** Not afraid to toe the line with federal law. Don't go.

This clinic botched my diagnosis and treatment, putting my vision at risk, and then refused to fax my records to another providers office, effectively holding my records hostage because theyre ****** off I wanted a second opinion. They are EVIL, and if I go blind as a result of their negligence and malfeasance, theres going to be h*** to pay.

I went to the location on North **********. In Portland OR, last ********* of 2022, this particular branch is now closed. I checked, double checked and more to make sure they took my insurance, was told all the times I asked that they did, this was last Nov, I had a follow up appt in Dec, to which I was told by the doctor that my vision ins. most likely wouldn't cover the visit, but my medical might. I had originally gone in for a simple eye exam. Let's move ahead to July 7th 2023. I get a large bill in the mail from Eyehealth NW saying that I owe for both visits and a late fee!! I did not every get any prior bill from them. I called my ********* company there were NO claims filed from Eyehealth NW at all in the entire 2022 calendar year. So I need to call them today and get them to answer some questions. This whole company feels Shady. They didn't file a claim, why wasn't I told my insurance didn't go through on the second visit?? Oh and they charged me a late fee, even though I never got a bill before. I will be filing complaints and contacting the Optical medical board.

They wasted an hour of my time. Just to tell me that I need to use reader glasses and that Im to old and when your last your 50s you basically just loose your sight. This is extremely disappointing. I really think they need a new doctor and new employees. I have never been so uncomfortable in my life. Please do something about this.

They are overpriced by about 3 to 4 times what normal eye glasses cost. Also, after my eye examination they failed to tell me that I did not have to purchase my glasses from them. I paid $489 -- and that was with ME supplying the frames -- and a month later I was billed an additional $131.97.
