      Complaint Against Maps Credit Union ... Mishandled Auto Loan In January 2025, I financed a 2016 Land Rover LR4 through a Maps Credit Union indirect loan arranged by **************** Sales. The vehicle was defective from day one: low coolant warnings, burning oil smells, and a dead auxiliary battery ... issues I reported immediately.I provided Maps and their legal team at Farleigh Wada **** with texts, receipts, mechanic statements, and video evidence showing smoke and leaks. My plates were also never delivered due to a title error caused by the dealer.Despite these efforts, Ive received no meaningful support. The dealership is now threatening repossession, and no action has been taken to fix the loan or address the misrepresentation.Though Maps did not sell the vehicle, they approved financing and have a duty to ensure their loans are not tied to bad-faith contracts ... especially once made aware of the defects. They have contractual ability to act, but have not.I paid $4,000 down and carried $6,000 in negative equity. I have acted in good faith. The account is now past due ... not due to neglect, but because I will not continue paying for a misrepresented vehicle, which I clearly stated in writing.I am protected in sharing this experience under:Consumer Review Fairness Act (15 U.S.C. 45b)Oregons Unlawful Trade Practices Act (ORS 646.608)Fair Credit Reporting Act (12 U.S.C. 5531)******* *. *****, 286 Or 99 (1979)If no resolution is reached, I will proceed with regulators and legal action.

      Went to **************** ***** *** maps credit union to deposit almost $500, when it tried returning money it returned partially amount only, machine started freaking out where the money comes out, screen said transaction canceled gave me my card back and no receipt, went to check my bank account and no money was deposited at all, I called customer service until someone answered and they said theres nothing they could do until morning to call a different phone number. HOW IS THERE NO ONE TO DEAL WITH THAT FUCKIKG ISSUE? IT JUST STOLE OVER 400 FROM ME. How is there not anything available to do at that time when its literally an emergency. Now I have to wait until Morning to go in to try and talk with them and waste my day, and miss hours of work just to deal with a f****** issue that shouldnt have happened anyways. They stole my money, wasted the whole rest of my afternoon, going to waste my day tomorrow to go to the bank to deal with it. Now I dont have the money in my account. Now I cant pay f****** bills because the *** f****** stole the money.

      We're really sorry you had such a bad experience with us regarding your ATM deposit.  Our records show that you indeed made a deposit at 9:28pm on May 14, and a $5 bill became jammed inside the machine during that transaction.  Since it was so late in the evening, our branches were closed, but the deposit was credited to your account at 10:13am on May 15.  I have no doubt this was really stressful for you and that you were worried your bills wouldn't be paid on time.  You did everything right by visiting the branch right away when we opened the next morning.  Our local ************** staff are also available on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 8-5:30pm, Wednesdays from 9:30am-5:30pm, Fridays from 8am-6pm, and Saturdays from 10am-2pm.  Thank you for being a Maps member and, again, we are truly sorry that your experience with us wasn't a better one.

      Im not liable for this debt with maps credit Union, I do not have a contract with Maps credit union. They did not provide me with the original contract as requested.

      On 3/28/2024, Maps responded to the credit dispute filed through e-***** on 3/19/2024.  The disputed information was accurate and matched the *** and DOB.  Maps had not received a request for the original contract documents until that dispute was filed on 3/19.  A copy of the agreement is being mailed to ************** today from our loan servicing department.

      January 31, 2023 - 30 day late notice on my credit report. I am a secondary on a car loan. My Ex-husband is the primary. For two years I have watched the loan status to make sure it did not go 30 days late. In November of 2022 my ex-husband stopped paying the loan. I did not receive any notification via mail or phone. My only indication was a derogatory **** on my credit. I called the credit union and explained that I did not receive notification. I was told that a letter and phone calls were made. I have 0 negative ****s on my credit so I assured them that I would have responded. I received no notification. I inquired if they were forwarding the information to my ex-husband but they would not answer. I asked to file a complaint about the non-notification and asked that the derogatory **** be removed. I was denied the opportunity to file a complaint with management. I was told by the representative they he would "pass it along". I was then told they normally don't contact the secondary loan applicants until repossession in is process. I went to the Credit Union the following week and paid the loan up-to-date. I am asking that the Credit Union removes the 30 day late on my credit report. I would also like them to change their policy that the secondary loan applicant receives notification of late payment. I was told all late notice calls are completed by a 3rd party company. They did not call my number or leave a message. The representative dismissed me and would not pass me to a manager.
