      My father purchased a pellet heater from this company around 2009. In April 2024, he had to have the igniter replaced and had this company come out to replaced the igniter. 15 years of usage out of an igniter seems like a decent lifespan. A few months later he passed away. The family noticed that the pellet heater wasn't working and we called this company to make repairs. When the repairman came out, he was shocked to discover that the replaced igniter wasn't working since it had just been replaced by his company a few months before. He told me that sometimes an old igniter will be placed on the shelf with the new igniters "by accident". The technician replaced the faulty igniter with a new igniter and the company is charging us $481 to replace their own faulty igniter. I'm still in a state of shock over this. I can't believe that a company would operate like this. If this was "an accident" then why didn't the company offer to correct their own mistake free of charge? Their business model seems to be to sell old, used igniters as new igniters so that they can keep a constant stream of repair work flowing.I'm not sure how to handle this, but my first thought is to warn the public and to seek a billing correction from the company.
