    On 7-18-22, *************** charged $724.36 to repair a freon leak by replacing a compressor in my Chev Aveo. Freon continued leaking (evidence supplied in form of paper towel soaked with freon) so the condensor was replaced on 10-24-22 for $202.04 (after much discussion with ***/Service Mgr. who went from a quote of almost $500 to $200 and said he would only charge for parts this time). Freon has continued leaking in puddles on my garage floor. Over the past 2 months, I left one voicemail msg with ***/Service, one voicemail msg. with ****/Service, and spoke with ****/Service directly last Thursday (3-9-23) and asked to speak with ***/Service Mgr. On Thursday, **** said ***/Service Mgr. would return from lunch at 12:30 and would call me back. To date, no one has returned ANY calls. After spending $926.40 to repair a freon leak which hasn't been fixed, I need assistance. Thank you!

    The service manager ******************* that was supposed to respond quit and did not relay the message. We called the customer had her bring her vehicle in. We fixed her vehicle at no cost on an unrelated thermostat housing for the cooling system leak. We also checked the a/c system and it was operating as designed by the manufacture.

    I had some body work done w/ this business. They did horrible work on my car to the extent, trying to pass the car back w/ a large chip in the paint. Items damaged by the shop, license plate light, paneling not put in correctly, alarm going off when it wasnt prior to having work done. Then, once work was done. License plate, that they put on, fell off and almost caused an accident. Less than a year later, their work failed. At the base of the wing, the paint started peeling-showing rust. So, I try to have problem addressed w/ company that did the work. *** that runs the body shop, **** says, Im too aggressive, because I got a little mad (normal human reaction after the h*** I went through) from the horrible work they did before. So, they wont work on my car now. I did not threaten anyone, I did not yell or use profanity. All because I got a little mad, their not wanting to do anything now. Of which is ridiculous. So, Im filing a complaint.

    Dear BBB,
    This letter is in response to customers complaint ID#********, Repair Issues.

    Customer brought vehicle to ********************** body shop regarding paint failure on his vehicle trunk lid. This trunk lid was put on customers vehicle Nov 2020. The Ken Ware Chevrolet, Inc. body shop manager spoke with the customer stating he needed time to look at & investigate the paint failure damage.

    After the body shop manager investigated the initial repair done,it was confirmed that the customers insurance company required a used trunk lid be put on vehicle. The customers insurance company confirmed the paint failure on the trunk lid was from the trunk lid being a used part, not from Ken Ware Chevrolet **** body shop workmanship or craftsmanship. The body shop manager went beyond normal business practices by contacting the customers insurance company and setting up a supplement.

    Due to conflict-of-interest Ken Ware Chevrolet, Inc.determined & stated to the customer, his vehicle could be taken to any *************** of customers choice for repairs, all the customer needs to do is contact his insurance company to set that up.

    My vehicle was hit in a hit and run, and ii filed a claim with geico. I was told *************** was a good shop to go to. My experience was horrible. My vehicles left rear was hit and it bent my axle, shredded my brakes, and bent my control arms and crunch the corner of the body. *************** did not inspect my vehicle, they refused to change my brakes, did not fix the bent axle and threatened to put my jeep back together broken when i called and asked for a loaner vehicle. I paid $1,000 out of pocket to keep a rental vehicle when week after week for six weeks i was told i would have a loaner car. They allowed me to drive away from the body shop with no brakes, told me it was safe to drive, and i almost lost my life because i had no brakes and could not stop coming into ongoing traffic. Nothing that was supposed be fixed, other than the body work, was done. The manager threatened me multiple times not to fix my vehicle after already being paid. They will not honor their mistakes and fix my vehicle correctly because of that i have to pay out of pocket for parts and labor that should have been done, completed and paid for by insurance. The office lady told me to my face that they screen calls from me, and when i call with a restricted number they answer. *************** was paid over $5,000 to fix everything, and they fixed nothing. when taking my vehicle to another mechanic, i was told they did not inspect everythig, and he knew by the build up on my brakes, and bolts all around that corner. When the mechanic took the housing off my brakes, my brakes and e brake crumbled to the ground in pieces. I took pictures and documented everything.

    I am rejecting this response because: *************** will not take responsibility for myself almost losing my life for their wrong doings and not doing their job. Never once was I told the vehicle was not safe, and if the vehicle was not safe why let me drive it off the lot? Never once did I say the loaner car costed me anything, the RENTAL car costed me money out of pocket that I should not have to pay. I was told week after week that I would have a loaner car next week, so I kept paying for my RENTAL not loaner car. A collision inspection on my vehicle was not done. They allowed me to almost lose my life, allowed me to keep paying out of pocket for things I shouldnt have had to pay. If. Read end collision inspection was done properly, they would have seen everything was accident related and not due to the condition of the undercarriage. It was was very obvious my axle was bent, my tire was pushed forward, and and everything under the housing of my wheel assembly was broken. *****, the manager, is a terrible manager and has a terrible way of talking to his customers. He threatens, hes rude, and talks down on people. At one point, I went to *************** to check on my vehicle, and had spoken with the shop guys(the ones working on the vehicle) I explain to them what has been going on, and they were shocked and in awe that *************** was treating me the way they were, and had said that I should not have had to pay for a rental car or anything out of pocket. Never once said vehicle was in the service shop, only body shop, and I had tried contacting the owner of the business on a couple occasions to no avail. My experience with *************** was absolutely terrible. They let me almost lose my life without saying a word to me about it being unsafe. Instead of getting a response from a. Business owner who was not there, why not talk to the one who caused the issues.
