Do not recommend. We were extremely disappointed by our experience working with Lamont Bros. At first they were very responsive and used high pressure tactics to sign **, then once we started working on the project their emphasis was on upselling. They didnt listen to us, were not transparent, and got defensive every time we asked questions. While their designer was by far the most professional of the team, we didnt feel that they brought us much in terms of creativity or style.

We had two home office renovations done at the same time in our home (one downstairs and one upstairs). From the beginning, we were underwhelmed with the time and attention to detail they put into our original design. ***Major issue: Among many annoying details along the way which I will avoid mentioning, the primary issue we had revolved around lack of attention to detail pertaining to safety. On the Friday of President's *** weekend last year, the La ********* employee doing our project left oil stained rags in a large industrial size trashcan in the upstairs office (this is less than 20 feet from my son's bedroom). My wife found this room engulfed in smoke at 2am (8 hours after the employee left our home). She carried out this huge trash can down our staircase in the middle of the night while it was flaming and called 911. The *********** fire **** confirmed that cause of fire was these rags. The top of the oil can in our office clearly noted oil stained rags are prone to spontaneous combustion. This has been a huge and long lasting issue, including an emotional toll on our family. We took legal action against this company due to this being a climax in a series of multiple areas of poor attention to detail.I would never recommend this company to even my worse enemy as they threaten not only the quality of the final product but, more importantly, the safety of those they are there (And being paid handsomely) to serve. Please be cautious when considering this company. Their website is impressive but the actual process is full of "nickel and diming" as well as substandard practices. Overpriced, disorganized, unreliable, and unethical. They threatened the safety of my home and my family. There is no second chance when it comes to their unsafe practices and negligence. I highly suggest expanding your search to other companies.

We truly value and care about each client who works with us and take every negative review as an opportunity to improve. Note that this is not a CCB complaint that is seeking resolution, but a review that's just a public forum. There is a lot outlined in this review and it really requires a better response than can be written out here. Please note that the client was pleased enough with how we handled the project and the situation to invite us back into the home to finish the project and that says a lot. The client communicated with our staff to finish the project to their satisfaction and since has proceeded to post negative reviews. For a video that outlines both what happened and our response visit: ************************************************* or visit lamontbros.com and search "negative review"To the client: We've resolved all outstanding issues that we are aware of. If there is anything else that's happened that we can assist with please do reach out directly.
