Had this company come to the house to detail our 20ft boat for my dads birthday gift. I told them and my dad told them to not put a lot of water on the motor because, of the electronics on the motor. I did start the motor in front of them but only for like a second after it did take it awhile too start. But when my dad an I took the boat fishing literally couple days later the motor wouldnt start an the motor alarm went off shutting motor down completely. My dad took his boat into ********************* in ****** ****** where he bought his boat, told them what happened and what it was doing, and they called after couple days saying it was the main computer that was shorted out by too much water on the motor. I told the company the problem, which never would get updated information from them then I got told that their insurance called ******* marine an was told that it was an OLD computer thats why it shorted out. I told my dad what they told me an he called ******* marine next day an they said that they never said anything like that nor received a phone call from anyone. So my dad paid for the repair since this company wouldnt pay for the damage.

This claim is towards Platinum Auto care, not ******* marine.

Your here because, of this company I filed against broke an expensive part on our boat an, has lied saying it wasnt their fault for the damages. Im not closing this until something happens against this company. The part and labor was $1,200 that we had to pay, they said that their insurance company contacted the shop an was told it was an old computer. We called the the same shop to confirm this and they told us that was never said nor were they contacted.

The service performed on your boat was done professionally and you watched the technicians through the process as they remember you conversing with them throughout. Once the job was complete, you stated "now the real test is if it starts up" which you did test, and it did start, and you agreed it passed the "test". In *********** order, it does not state the cause being anything to do with us, the only mention is where it says "Customer thinks may be related."

When concern was brought up, I talked with my insurance which said they would look into it and get back to me. Their findings were that we were not at fault, thus a claim did not need to be made since we were not at fault. Upon telling you this news, you verbally agreed and that was the last we heard before your complaint.

Another issue we see is with your timeline. The service was completed on May 2nd and the date-in on *********** order is May 30th, right after Memorial Day weekend.

Sorry to hear about your boat, but unfortunately we can't help.

    Thanks.

I am rejecting this response because: the repair shop is a very busy shop with Guide boats during the *********** times they make them a priority. We got our boat in asap, also! This company was the LAST Person to touch the motor which means you got too much water on it, and NO I DID NOT START IT. The motor barely turned over after several cranks.

    Sincerely,
