    I purchased a used 2008 ****** Forester via ******** marketplace on 4/24/2023, from an uncle and nephew duo with the narrative that it was the nephews vehicle whom the mechanic uncle always helped with maintenance on through his mechanic business, Arvin Automotive. They presented it as a well cared for vehicle with extensive recent repair maintenance thats recommended for a car with its mileage; head gaskets, water pump, timing belt, brake pads and rotors as well as new tires. They checked all the boxes and event presented pictures on a cell phone of them performing the autowork. I purchased it for $4,700. It ran for 3 full days before it died in an intersection day 4 of owning it (4/26/2023) It would not start, crank, turnover, nothing. I had to tow it to my home and where it sits until I can find the funds to tow it to a mechanic for diagnostics. I reached out to the younger man on Marketplace and he then blocked me. I called the Mechanic uncle whom had sold it to me begging for my money back. He offered to meet up to help fix it. He proceeded to flake meeting me to check the car 3 separate times before I realized Id been duped. I then read his other reviews on BBB, and ****** when it was confirmed. He reached out to me once more and his entire demeanor was different the second I asked about the reviews and blew his cover. He mentioned a lawyer and me signing papers as is (though his depiction of the vehicle both verbally and in the ad itself did not accurately depict the state of the vehicle in the least. He lied.) He then texted me photos of the paperwork the next day, and then that was that. No further contact. Also, 6 days after purchasing in, it began blooming mold inside as well and showing signs of extensive water damage that was not disclosed to me. A nightmare. Sickening to think people make a living this way. He took my hard earned money and left me without a mode of transportation. I just need my money back.

    I, *************************, wish to have the following complaint against Arvin Autocare (complaint number #********) withdrawn/resolved as we have proceeded to small claims court and reached a settlement in mediation. As part of my settlement agreement I request that this complaint be closed/removed from Arvin Autocares business page to fulfill my end of the agreement. Thank you!
