    In about 2018 I used a A-Affordable Bail Bonds to bail a friend out. I posted $100. I heard nothing back from them ever. In early April 2024 we received a phone call from a man who sounded pretty demanding telling us we owed him $300 from Affordable. It sounded like a scam and since it had been over 5 years since we had used that service, we disregarded the call. In April we received a letter (I assume) from the same person demanding $300 again. I sent emails and called leaving messages asking for an itemized list of charges that would explain the $300 charge. In May, I received another letter with the amount now up to $628.77 for interest, penalties and TLO, whatever that is? I called A-Affordable and they say the original amount was for $150 because my friend missed a court date. My friend has receipts stating that she paid that amount directly to the court and is trying to get that to Affordable. I never received any bill for the original $150 so I didn't even know this was going on. I do not believe I owe this debt. NW Bail Recovery is being uncooperative and deceptive. They do not respond to my emails or calls and will not give me an itemized list.
