      I placed an online order for 5 items on 5/14/24. I received 2. I emailed the store in May and then again on 7/3/24 to cancel one of the remaining 3 items and never received any communication in return. I contacted the store's instagram page on 7/22/24 and also did not receive a response. At this point, because I am no longer confident that I will ever receive the 3 remaining items, I want them refunded.

      Hello, 

      The items you are waiting on are shipped directly from Field Day, a drop shipping partner and independent maker based out of ***********, **. Because these items are shipped internationally, the lead time may be a bit longer as these items make their way through customs, but rest assured: they have been shipped by the maker.

      They are also not eligible for refund unless they are shipped back and received, so the refund you are requesting is unfortunately not available until these items have actually arrived to you. I am happy to look into the status of this package and see if I can get an official delivery date, and will do so via customer service email.

      International shipping does come with some challenges, occasionally, but as stipulated on our website (both in listing copy, and at cart check out) your items are sometimes shipped in different parcels because they are being shipped directly from the makers. Our website has dozens of independent artists who drop ship in this manner and we do our best to ensure that this is very clear our website. I would also like you state that our website has two different customer service email addresses that are reachable through which to inquire about orders -- and our instagram is unfortunately not a conduit through which to do so. As with all business accounts on instagram, an automatic filter applies which does not enable us to see customer inquiries, so we have stated on our site, in our store policies, and at cart checkout that we cannot be reached through instagram. 

      I am replying here as this is the first time I have seen a BBB complaint come through, but I will follow up with your direct email as well.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      There was no response.

      The business lectured me about how their website says that the items are drop-shipped from an independent designer, and therefore, I need to just wait an indefinite amount of time for them.

      The business lectured me about how their website says that I shouldn't try to contact them via instagram (ignoring the fact that I've also contacted them 3 times via the emails provided on that website, with no response).

      The business lectured me about how they won't supply a refund until I receive the items and return them. Which, again, I apparently have to wait indefinitely for, with no communication from Altar or from the drop shipper.
