I have disabilities that can not walk, therefore when i go to pharmacy to pickup our medications i ride a small foldable electric scooter with 12 tire.I have been using Trimet transportation to get some of my chores done, my electric scooter meets all the policys and guidelines of Trimet sheet to be carried inside, Does Not Fit on the outside bike racks of the buses. I never had problems carrying my electric scooter inside the bus while I am riding the bus. As of few months ago there ia a new bus driver who is in my route, he is always rude to me and forces me to place my electric scooter on the outside rack.Even though I explained to him according to the Trimet guidelines my scooter should be inside the bus. I explained to him the tires on my scooter is only 12 the outside rack is designed for 20 tire or larger, he ignored me. At the first time the rain was heavily pouring and caused electrical problems to my scooter. I replaced the battery and the control switches in order to make my scooter operative. On the 3&4 visit this driver closed the bus doors on me and was going to take of. Since i had to make it to the pharmacy and pick up my sons Seizure medicine I place my scooter on the rack again. On the fort visit i lost my balance as I was placing the scooter on the outside rack as the result my chronic injuries got worse.I contacted the Trimet customer service department and talked to Violet , the rep. ***** giving her all the facts and dates, few days later she called me and was trying to make a permit for me so i can take my scooter inside the bus.I Iexplained to Violet that we dont need that and pointed out to her where on the guidelines of Trimet on line , Clearly says any tire over 20Should go on the outside rack.****** emailed me a very nice message apologizing for this incident and agreed that I was Right my Scooter shouldve gone in the bus and then referred me to the claim department and said they will take care of me.All my messages are ignored

    Hello,

On 6/4/24, TriMet received the BBB complaint in the mail. We were somewhat confused about how to respond to the complaint as we do not regularly receive correspondence from the BBB.

On 6/6/24, I emailed the complainant, *************************, with information about and questions related to TriMet's *************************** Request process. I have not received a response from the complainant.

My 6/6/24 email is attached. It is attached as a .jpeg file because this form did not allow me to upload the original ********* Outlook file.
