    On 1/19 I paid $240 for a Intro to contortion class to be taught weekly from Jan 2 to Feb 26 from 1045-1215 by ******. On 2/2/23 I wrote an email to the studio owner, ******, expressing concern about having a substitute for contortion class on 2/4/23. In a previous series, the sub we were given did not practice or teach contortion. The sub, ****, asked a student in the class what we did in the class and asked the student demonstrate, actually, to teach the class. The owner dismissed my concerns, stating **** "has a very different way of teaching/lesson plan". The sub on 2/4/23 taught a conditioning class not a contortion class. Then on 2/18 the regular contortion teacher showed up more than 30min late because she "thought it started at 11:45." The owner has not responded directly to my email requesting a refund for this class. Instead she sent and email to the entire class stating that ****** was 20min late due to a "family emergency." Everyone in the class knows that she was more than 30min late (I sent the email requesting a refund at 30min) and that there was no emergency. ****** herself gave us the explanation that she just forgot the class started at 10:45. I am requesting a refund for the 2 classes where the course was not taught as advertised (at the correct time, advertised subject and teacher) and for the final course in the series as I no longer want to attend due to the unprofessional behavior of the staff. If a class is advertised as a contortion class taught at a certain time with a certain teacher then that is was should be provided or a refund is in order.
