      I returned four pairs of shoes that I bought online to a DSW store in my city on February 1. The total of the return was $450. I got a receipt as well as four separate emails, one for each pair of shoes. We bought another pair of shoes in the store that day, which we kept. The receipt said the return went through, so I was satisfied and went home happy. Yesterday, March 11, I happened to be looking at my credit card statement for another reason and noticed the original charges from *** on last month statement, with no corresponding credit. I usually dont even look at my statements, assuming that the companies *** done business with were upright. I called the credit card company, who told me I should contact the company. The agent that I spoke with looked into it. He said that the credit was rejected because of the large dollar amount. So they never gave me back my money because it was too much money. Somehow, they didnt have a problem, taking it in the first place. No one contacted me in the intervening month and a half, although I had received 140 targeted ad emails between the time I ordered the shoes Jan 30 to yesterday when I discovered the missing money on March 11. They tell me now that they are processing my return and that I should get the money within 3 to 5 business days. I will have to check to make sure that actually happens.
