    The agreement was we would rent the venue with the conduction that he was in the works of making the space bigger to fit all of our guest. That the venue would be ready by the date of our event. I paid him with a cashier check of $2,000 in his name. I went back in April to make another payment. No work has been done to make the hall bigger. and he said he could assure us that it would be done at all since the building owner was having to take someone to court. We discussed that the with out the remodel we would be able to rent the venue as it wouldn't have the space size we need and that we would need to cancel and if he would issue a refund he agreed that if we wanted to cancel a refund would be issued. I texted him the next day that I would be cancelling and he said he would issue the check and we set up at date for me to pick it up. I tried cashing the check both times the bank stated NFS. 1st time it was in person and they hand it back to me 2nd time I mobile deposited it . Bank release the funds and i used it for our new venue. a few days later funds were take back out due to NFS. bank mailed me a copy of the check. I reached out to him he stated he had a family problem and wouldn't be back in ****** until the following Monday to call him then. I didn't no answer. On Tuesday i sent him a text and he reply with the same excuse that he wasn't back yet and that he would call me. he has never called me back. I texted him not a reply back. I went on ******** ************ where we 1st communicated sent him a message saying good morning, he replied back. I don't think he noticed that it was me. I asked him regarding when i can pick up my refund. he stated that he had family problems and wasn't attending his phone but he would reach out to me in a few days so i can come by to pick up the money and return the check. I asked him to please have this resolved by Friday. No Answer. I texted him today that I have communicated with BBB and needed him to reply back today.
