      Worst customer service *** ever experienced. Delays getting even the smallest order out the door. Long hold times and dismissive customer service representatives that offer no solution. Ill never go through the headache of ordering from Leatherman again unless they find a way to make things right after my last experience. Ill update this review if they do, but based on every second of dealing with them - its unlikely theyll do anything to make customers feel appreciated.

      Be forewarned. After the better part of a year, Leatherman implemented a brand protection team which enforces the utterly ridiculous rule of not allowing Leatherman tool users, their entire fan base, not allowing YOU to sell their tools. The tools you rightfully purchased with your money. Roughly a year ago I found myself not able to purchase anything from Leatherman. Puzzled, I called multiple times to inquire about this. I eventually was told I was blacklisted. Why? According to **** with the team, I was initially told my email address was tied to a re-seller account. Interesting. I asked for proof. I was not provided with it. I countered by showing them my full **** account with sell history. Guess whats not on there? Any tools ever being resold. Then she shifted the blame to something else, asking for photos (silly, right?) of my tools. I gave in, pictures sent. Was that enough? Nope. Eventually I was told that I admitted as a Leatherman tool collector and enthusiast, that I have certainly sold tools I stopped using over the years for whatever reason or another, traded with other Leatherman enthusiasts for collection building, and that was not allowed and per Leatherman against policy. So what they are telling me and every other Leatherman user is that if you dare ever sell a tool you have rightfully purchased which became your legal property, per Leatherman you risk an immediate ban should they find out. Ive never in my life encountered such ridiculousness when it comes to a brand. This is not protecting the brand, rather this is alienating their loyal fan base and leaving a very nasty reputation of being non-consumer friendly.

      This review is not about Leatherman products, but rather about policies related to protecting our brand and the consumer experience.  These policies include having Authorized Resellers of new Leatherman tools that sell to the end consumer and provide them with the knowledge and services about those products.  Leathermans Brand Protection team also utilizes several consultants to help us monitor the internet for unauthorized sellers and counterfeit products.  This complaint is unfortunately from an unauthorized reseller who does not have an understanding of our established policies and procedures, and for that reason we will continue to not sell products to him.
