I initially went to Amanda for microblading because I found her on Groupon and she had great reviews. She ask me to pay cash for the service. At this time I was very pleased with her work so I recommended her to a friend of mine and we both booked appointments. It was my friends first time microblading, I just needed another maintenance session. This time, however, things were quite different. In the last two months, Amanda has repeatedly cancelled appointments with one excuse or another and the last time we went to her she made us wait half hour stating that she totally forgot about us, this after she confirmed the appointment the day before! The real problem though is not with her cancellations, it is with the quality of her work. I was embarrassed that I recommended her. No longer was her work what it was the first time I went to her. I don't know if she is using inferior quality dyes or if ******* through her technique, but neither mine nor my friend's eyebrows show that any work has been done! This is why we had to go to her three times and still nothing, not a single bit of shading or strokes are visible. I texted her October 1, 2022, and after explaining the situation Amanda agreed to refund us both our money back, my friend $275 and me $150. She even asked for our Venmo accounts. However, she gave a few excuses about not being able to until mid-October. Problem is that she is no longer trustworthy due to her many cancellations, making us wait because she forgot about us, and her shoddy work. We feel that if we don't actually file a complaint we will never see the money she promised to refund us. It will be one excuse after another - this is her pattern.

****** came in for an annual touch up and seemed pleased with how her brows had held up over the year. She had gotten a combination brow which included hair strokes and shading and the shading was still very visible, she wanted more hair strokes this time around. I advised her on multiple occasions that hair strokes do not heal well and may not even appear after healing on aged skin that lacks collagen. Any other permanent cosmetics artist would say the same thing. She came back with her friend for another FREE touch up with the same healed condition of very apparent shading and no hair strokes, again she wanted more hair strokes. I told her AGAIN that this would not heal on her as we have seen in the past, she said it was fine she wanted to try but she did acknowledge that they may not be there after healing. Her brows, however, have FULL results of shading. Again she basically bullied me into offering her another free service after I told her I did not have time that day, her response was " Oh boy, it will only take a few minutes". This is not true, these services do not take a few minutes and I do not need to continue to work for free because you are unhappy with not having healed hair strokes after I told you this would be the outcome. I can not do anything about how somebody's skin heals. I have seen her brows many times now in the last two months and she has full results of shaded eyebrows as to be expected. As for her friend she recommended I have on several occasion offered to work to make this work on her very oily skin, her friend seems very understanding and did not personally ask me for a refund. ****** is basically using extortion tactics to get money back after I have not only rendered the service but have made several exceptions to get her in repeatedly for services for free.

I am rejecting this response because: Amanda is not being truthful. I paid $150.00 cash (my friend is my witness) for the second touch-up and Amanda has already agreed to refund this amount. In fact, she requested my Venmo account which I provided on Saturday, October 1, 2022. None of the shadowing that she states was done held up, let alone any of the strokes. Amanda also agreed to fully refund my friend who paid her $275.00. Amanda asked for my friend's Venmo account information which was also provided on Saturday, October 1, 2022. There is no extortion going on here - we simply want our money refunded because we did not receive the service we paid for and because Amanda has already agreed to refund the money.

    Sincerely,

I did offer a refund initially and told her it would be provided mid october as I am a student and have high expenses that come along with this. Again ****** became rude and used bullying tactics threatening to leave bad reviews and complaints if it was not received within a week. (I have all of this in proof through text messages as well). She would not accept a refund on my time so she filed the complaint. I will not continue to be threatened into taking further action. She paid for a service, acknowledged both in person and in text that I can not guarantee my work, the service was rendered and even further, I provided additional free services and discounts. I should not have to provide a refund for all my time and materials used nor will I tolerate being bullied.

I am rejecting this response because: Amanda continues to provide excuses, justifications, and make unfounded accusations. She promised to refund all of our monies and is now reneging on her promise. She asked and received our Venmo accounts. It is now October 23rd and we still have not received our refunds. No other resolution is acceptable.

    Sincerely,
