I wrote to **** and explained the problem with my car. I told him that 2 different mechanics had already looked at it and didn't have the proper equipment or knowledge to diagnose the hybrid battery. He sais that he was the experienced mechanic who could diagnose it. He agreed to come look at it at 9am on July 17th. I was texting wit him and he told me in the morning that he was on his way. He did not come out because he lives in ********* and sent a different person. The guy who showed up did not have the proper equipment to diagnose weather a hybrid battery is good or not. I still need to take it to someone who does. He demanded payment for a diagnosis and I argued that he didn't diagnose it. He called **** and handed me the phone. I told him to send me an invoice and I would pay it. He refused and told me that I needed to pay on the spot or deal with the consequences. I asked him what the consequences are and he said that he would break my windows and steal my car. I agreed to pay him with venmo and confirmed the price before paying him $487 which included a 12 volt battery with a receipt for $237 and a $250 diagnostic fee. Then the guy took my key and told me that I owed him an additional $50 for installing the battery or he would not give it back. I made another payment and he gave me the key and left. I have made a police report about the threats to my property.

I think there's some confusion here, Mr. **************** I sent my mechanic that works for me there, who is also very qualified.  I still oversee everything. Upon arrival, he found your starter battery was completely dead and failed the battery test, so he had to replace that before a diagnosis could even be performed. He went to get you a new battery upon your request, paid for it out of his pocket, sat in line for 45 minutes, then came back to replace it. After the battery was replaced the car had life again, and he was able to pull codes and found a hybrid malfunction code. He then checked the entire hybrid system for defects, fuses, relays, and wiring - found no faults. He also pinpointed a coolant leak the vehicle also had and showed you. The conclusion of the diagnosis is that you need a new hybrid battery. I understand that's an expensive repair and may not be what you wanted to hear BUT it is the truth, your vehicle is a 2013 with 131K miles on it with the original hybrid battery. So yes the diagnosis was performed, he went above and beyond to not only help you but also find your main issue and other underlying issues with your vehicle. Diagnosis complete, and payment was required, I don't know what you mean as far as these false accusations of threats, but thats not 1st choice mobile mechanic! We don't operate this way, and all other customers reviews reflect the professionalism and skill that we have in this industry. Again, I'm truly sorry it wasn't the diagnosis you wanted to hear but it's the truth and we don't Lie to customers just to tell them what they want to hear. We are 100% sure of the diagnosis and will gladly give you a 100% refund if it wasn't! As far as police and civil reports, no problem, I am prepared with my attorney and have all the proof of the work that was done, along with text messages agreeing on price, and a detailed invoice with the diagnostic report. If you brought your vehicle to a shop and refused to pay for service they would hold your keys and your car, and even charge you storage fees until you paid. Anyway, Thank you for your business!

I am rejecting this response because: I was not given a diagnosis. I was aware that it was either the hybrid battery is bad or that there is another issue with the hybrid system. I explained that to the guy who came out here. I explained that 2 other mechanics had already verified that. This is the reason that the 12 volt battery was bad. You gave me the same diagnosis that I was given twice already. The conclusion is that I have to find someone who is able to diagnose weather the hybrid battery is bad or if there is another issue with the hybrid system. I am requesting the  $250 diagnosis fee back because your employee was not able to diagnose the problem. This is the cost to have the hybrid system diagnosed from multiple other companies.

I am rejecting this response because: ********************* has not offered a resolution. He has threatened me repeatedly over the past two weeks. He has written false and slanderous reviews about my business. He has had his employee, *************************** make false and slanderous reviews of my business. He most recently threatened to contact the *** and to have me put in federal prison. He has attempted to bully me into taking down my review on ******* yelp, ******** and to remove my complaint with the BBB.

I'm no longer going back and forth with this lowlife. He tried to not pay after a correct diagnosis of his vehicle was performed at his house.  I have an invoice to prove it, and can provide this at any time. as well as my mechanics test results from his scan tool already printed and ready in case this matter goes to court. ****************** just simply did not want to accept that he needs a new hybrid battery for his vehicle, a very costly repair, and then refused to pay. Then proceeded to slander my business with bad reviews on ***************** and here on BBB. **** also threatened to take legal action and file a civil suit against me, but its been months now and still have received no word about any legal action. Sounds like he was bluffing just to try and get money back, well not gonna happen. And if he continues to persist with this back and forth, I will actually take legal action against him and the consequences for him will be very harsh. Best of luck on your criminal business endeavors Mr. ****************
