First off, I have been a AAA member for almost 30 years. So I contacted ************************************, to inquire about getting auto and renters insurance. They got me insurance, all right. They signed me up for TWO of the SAME policies, from TWO DIFFERENT companies! Over $500 payment total, for a single father of two, who can only work part time. Ouch. This was after they told me, 'we will go with this company now, as they offer a better rate.' But instead, I saw charges from both companies.I tried to contact them about this, and I received NO REPLY. For three weeks.I had to spend hours on the phone with multiple companies and my bank, trying to figure this out, and then finally canceled one of the policies. Not only that, but I asked them about life insurance and they started the process. The underwriter stated that they couldn't access my health records from my doctor, and told me that I needed to call the doctor and allow the release of my records.I called them and we agreed to release the records. Two weeks later, I called the doctor back, and the doctor said that the underwriter NEVER FOLLOWED UP AFTERWARDS, TO GET MY RECORDS.Then I got the letter that stated that I cannot get life insurance because of this.Poor business practices along with no communication, regarding the issues that they have caused = DO NOT USE AAA in ***** OREGON.Because if you do, you will regret it.

Needed a lockout service and AAA an was able to get someone to help us in 30 min. The guy that came was super friendly and got us in the car quickly. My friend tried calling Allstate to get help and they were an hour and a half out. Its the second time Ive seen AAA do a much better job than the insurance based towing service.

I have had a Premium AAA membership for over 20 years, and have very rarely used it. Ive probably called 8 times in 20 years. Today I called for a basic battery jumpstart on a clear, cool weekday afternoon at 1:30pm, I was told a specific time of 35 minutes. At 2:20pm, I called to find out an updated time. She couldnt have been more vague. When we have a driver. I am sitting in the epicenter of car repair shops. If I threw a stone, I could hit 20 of them. Im a mile from car repair shop row, with all the industrial trucking warehouse areas. It is tow truck central. How in the world I cant get a one minute jump from one of those shops is beyond me. How many contracts does AAA have? Answer- not enough. Its now been an hour and a half. *** missed my work meeting, that I was told I would make with the original quote. Why am I paying AAA all this money every year, and rarely using the service? Extremely unhappy. Second time this has happened- one of my only other calls for a jump, I was quoted 4 hours. While waiting, Ive already bought a ****a jump starter, and called my car insurance company, where I have roadside assistance built in. This is my last year with AAA; canceling my membership for good. I was your ideal customer, and AAA failed me.

Horrible customer service. We were told that it would be 4 to 5 hours for a tow truck to come which would have taken us to almost midnight being stuck on the side of the highway. So, we tried again the morning and were told 2 to 3 hours and by the time a truck was in route, we showed up and discovered that **** had just towed it not too long before. We talked to two different managers, one who did not care and one who explained that his people messed up because when you are stuck on the side of a highway you become a priority which means wait times are much less. Now we are stuck with a $260 towing bill (from ODOT/Speeds towing) which they are refusing to pay. They did offer to waive our next year membership fee which is nothing compared to the time, ******, and money (spent and lost from not working) that we had to go through because of their mistake.

Terrible customer service. Have, or maybe had because I really don't know where anybody is, an agent to deal with auto and home insurance. My wife passed away so I got hit with premium that was roughly $2,000 more than previous because now I'm not married. Thanks Safeco, your next on my list of complaints.I asked my agent numerous times by email to check into it and got no response. Don't even know if he still works there or is deceased himself. Found another agent who told me I was still getting the best deal. That wasn't true. I signed up with another company for auto and home, asked my agent to cancel my former insurance because that's the only way I can. I've heard nothing. Got stuck with a double bill because of it, even when I signed a letter to cancel my former insurance company. Asked my agent to look into it. my former and this other new agent, and I've heard absolutely nothing back. AAA has cost me nothing but time and money. Do NOT use them. Just a horrible experience dealing with them. Do not eve want to give them one star, that would mean they did something positive.

I had a flat on the rear inside tire of my RV. I called AAA and was told that a truck was dispatched with an ETA of one hour. 1 1/2 hours later I called again to be told that it is running late but be patient. 2 1/2 hours later I called again. Again I was told that not to worry it is definitely on it's way. 3 1/2 hours later my daughter called. She eventually was told that the truck was never dispatched due to a glitch. This person told her she had another truck dispatched and it would be one more hour. 4 hours into this frustration, an agent called me to check on how we are. She then checked and admitted a truck still hadn't been dispatched and they were still looking. I had been traveling with my brother in his RV. He would have been able to change the tire but I told him that I pay for AAA so he doesn't have too. He went home after believing a truck was on its way. My daughter and I made the decision after 4 hours and it being 730 at night to take the chance and drive slowly from Government camp to **********. After sleeping in ******************* parking lot, they had it quickly fixed first thing. I promptly called AAA to speak with a supervisor. None was available but after hearing my story the agent said a supervisor would call ASAP. Two days later I still had not received a call. I had to call again. The supervisor said he would review the calls and retrain if necessary. He said this after trying to justify the outright lies we were told by the two agents who had told us the trucks were on their way. I am definitely rethinking whether AAA is money well spent.
