Our experience with bike flights was nothing short of terrible. We had a death in our family which prompted shipment of an Aventon ****** from ******* to *******. The bike shop in ******* used bike flights to ship the bike and insurance protection was purchased for up to 2k. The bike and battery were tested in complete working order before shipment. Upon arrival of our bike to a bike shop in ******* the battery was completely dead and would not charge. Bike flights gave us the run around in regards to completing an insurance claim. After going back and forth with them for a week they denied the claim stating the battery has just reached the end of its life and that we cant prove anything happened in shipment. Bike flights states they only ship E-bikes in full working condition, which our bike was at the time of shipment. The evidence they are requiring to be submitted for this claim is impossible to produce- therefore they never have to pay out on any insurance policies they sell. This bike was ridden 5 times from 2021-2024 due to our uncle being diagnosed with terminal cancer answer purchasing the bike. The battery did not just reach the end of its life. Bike flights collected their money and refused to pay out when damage occurred. Find a different way to ship your bike because this company and their protection policy is a scam. We are now out $500 from shipping and do not have a working bike.

At Bikeflights we have shipped more than a million and a half bikes for customers all over the world. We provide shipping services for electric and traditional bicycles and provided this service for ******** and *****.

Unfortunately when their E-bike arrived it was discovered the battery would not take a charge. There was no given evidence of shipping container damage nor damage to the bike and there was no evidence of the battery performing prior to shipping; only that it would not take a charge after the fact.

For these reasons our insurer was not able to honor a claim for the battery on ***** and ********'s E-bike. We have offered to refund their shipping costs at this time as a courtesy due to the difficult circumstances and frustrating experience.
