On January 11th, I paid for an all day ticket that last till January 12th at 4:59am. I worked at 520 *************** till 6pm at night. NW Parking ticketed me they said around 8ish in the morning. I don't trust walking around in the parking lot so I used the online app, I was a little late getting into the app when I got to work. I tried to work with NW parking and asking them to forgive the penalty of $49.00 because when you buy an all day ticket it is good for hours that a normal working person would not use up. They were rude and unwilling to make exceptions as I have never had a ticket before. This is a new company that took over. My penalty is worth almost 4 times of a day pass. Plus they add $4.00 surcharge to pay the ticket, and the only way to pay they said in the email was on line. I feel they take advantage of good hard working people. I will no longer use their parking as I feel cheated by them.

From the explanation submitted, it seems like the penalty was issued correctly as the customer did not have a valid ********************** permit to use the facility at the time the notice was issued.  Penalty fee amounts are set by the ****************.  Based upon the information provided, we do not see a reason to adjust the fee amount.

I parked in a parking lot where there was no way to pay to park and the machines to pay and the app were not in operation and was given a parking citation. The employee I spoke with when I came back said that the lot was supposed to be blocked off but hadn't been done and his boss told him to ticket everyone without a pass because they needed the revenue, even though there was no sign posted saying you couldn't park there and no way to pay.

A refund request should be submitted by following the directions on the penalty fee notice.  If a refund is requested and due, it will be processed that way.

Please contact the enforcement company as listed on the penalty notice.

      thank you.

Company operates a parking lot at SW 5th and ******. The parking meter is purposely extraordinarily difficult to operate - meaning it does not turn on with multiple button pushes and attempts. Their private parking ticket issuance agent even had trouble operating it herself when I asked her to - its was a 5 minute process for her that I recorded. While there is an opportunity to pay via an app, for those of us without the ability to install random apps on our work phones, this is insufficient. A parking lot should have an operable meter. *********** is not conducting fair business practices. They should either a) clearly indicate with instructions that the paystation requires 3-5 minutes of effort or some special combination of buttons to get to work or b) replace the meter with an easily operable one. There are many easy to operate meters from other companies in and around the area. Northwest Parking Control is clearly acting deceitfully here in order to grab parking ticket revenue. Multiple people in the lot experienced the same issue.Penalty #: ******** Zone: ****

We have no record of this customer calling us directly to report any equipment malfunction.  In fact, we did install new equipment at this location within the last year.  In fact, we get email alerts from the equipment when there are system issues such as running out of paper or even low battery reports. If this customer is having issues, as posted, they are encouraged to call Star Park to report the issue so we may address it correctly.  This customer makes wile, emotional accusations that border on slanderous in regards to our business practices.  In fact, we take great pride in our responsiveness to equipment issues.  Seeing as there is very limited information provided here, we do not see any need for additional action or response at this time.  The customer is welcome to call us or email us if they wish to obtain a monthly parking permit or to report an equipment issue when it occurs.  Otherwise, if they do not pay for a parking permit, they should **************.

I am rejecting this response because: It's not my job to report your equipment failures.  I'm encouraging the BBB to investigate operations of this machine, because the business practices are inappropriate and misleading to consumers.  I'm happy to submit a video showing that "normal operations" require an unreasonable amount of time for the machine to power up and display a menu.  Consequently, I've witness numerous people simply walking away because they believe the machine to be inoperable.

I'd also encourage the operator to explain what is a "wile" and emotional accusation.  If the operator believes my complain to be slanderous, as an attorney, I'd be thrilled to meet them in court.
