    Hi, I bought a groupon for picture portland frame (see attached) and then brought it in to use at Portland Picture frame. I paid additional money (in addition to groupon value for them to frame a large original water color picture in a wood frame with special colored mat and spacers. I went twice as I ended up changing my mind on a few things so there are two transaction/payment dates (receipts attached). The dates I went were Nov 20 and Jan 7th. They told me the framing would be done in a month or so. I called in late February as I had not heard anything back about the art work and they said they would call me back but I never heard anything. I again tried calling back again but mailbox was full. I tried calling back yesterday and mailbox was still full and then I saw on google maps that the store was temporarily closed. On their facebook page other consumers had comments wondering where their art was (attached below). The people on the facebook post also said there were signs on the door about unpaid utilities. I am not sure if something medical happened but hope everyone is okay. I did message the business on facebook as well to see if they could contact me and one of the messages was reported as "seen" by the business (screenshot attached) but no reply...So in sum I paid for services I have not received and don't know how to get my art back.

    Total costs spent:
    Groupon: $68
    Frame costs: 201.06 +15.84 = $216.90
    Art cost: hard to put a value on it as it is original piece that was in familiy and I would like it back, value of art would be around $800

    At this point I just want my money back and art back. Please advise what are next steps.

    My husband and I went to Portland Picture Frame on February 18, 2023 with two original pieces of art we had saved up to frame. It is now June 7, 2023 and the store appears closed, the voicemail is full, and there is no response from anyone. There are several notes on the door from other customers who just want their art back - framed or not. It appears something may have happened to the owner? But strange no one is working, issuing refunds, or giving art back to customers. We spent over $700 for two large framed paintings, and need to be both reimbursed and given our paintings back.

    My wife (who is a painter and relies on that income) dropped off two pieces of artwork to be framed in February of 2023. We were told that the pieces would be ready within a month. It is now June, we have called and left over 10 messages, and have not heard back from Portland Picture Frame about our pieces. We've visited the store during open hours, and the store is locked. We need to get our paintings and prints back and cannot get ahold of the store owner. This is impacting our own earnings and my wife's business as a painter.

    In January of 2023, I left an irreplaceable and precious item with this business for framing, paying the bill (large!) in full. I had previous work done by her so I was not worried about prepaying.Now it is almost 8 weeks beyond the delivery date. As another person has reported here, the doors are locked. The ** was now full and now there's only the message that the call cannot go through.I want my precious item back! not to mention my money!

    I brought a very old family document with high sentimental value to this shop to be framed on 2/4/23 and prepaid the $98 for the framing. It was supposed to be completed within 3 weeks. However, after repeated attempts to get an updates I've driven to the shop on multiple occasions and it's been closed during their stated business hours. There are overdue notices pasted to the door from utility companies. It's clear this business is on the verge of closing or in some sort of financial or operational crisis. But they still have my property and I want it back. The copy of my invoice is dogeared and torn because I've been carrying it around to present at the multiple times I've stopped by to retrieve my property.
