Job: a single toilet install Cost: 700 As a property manager with experience working with various vendors, I am appalled by my experience with this plumbing company. I scheduled an appointment to remove and install a toileta straightforward, standard job with no complications. I specifically requested they call me when the plumber was on his way, as I dont live at the propertyits my tenants residence. Despite this, I never received an arrival confirmation call. The plumber showed up at 9:05 AM (within the window of 9:0011:00 AM), and because I wasnt notified, his waiting time was added to my bill. The job itselfswapping out a single toilettook 1.5 hours, which is reasonable. However, the invoice was shocking. The total cost was over $700 for a single toilet installation:$550 for labor (rounded up to 2 hours, even though the job was completed in 1.5 hours)$150 for parts, including basic items like a wax ring, gloves, and towelsitems with outrageous markups.Whats worse, the plumber claimed the 15 minutes he spent in his truck writing up the receipt was on the clock. In all my years working with contractors and vendors, I have never been billed for a vendors time writing up a receipt, especially for such a routine job. Writing an invoice should be standard practice, not billable time. This company lacks transparency and inflates both labor and material costs to an unreasonable degree. Their billing practices feel exploitative, and I strongly urge anyone considering their services to be cautious and prepared for hidden fees. I will absolutely not be using this company again and recommend finding a more reliable and honest alternative.
