      While walking with my ShedRain WindPro umbrella (which was closed at the time), the plastic cap from the handle suddenly flew off with great force and hit my finger. It caused immediate pain and swelling, and I believe it may be fractured. This was a very dangerous and unexpected product malfunction. I am concerned about the safety of this item and would like a response from the company regarding how they plan to address this issue.

      ******** Experience I submitted a warranty claim, and what the company keeps doing instead is sending me tons of their advertisements, but zero acknowledgement that my receipt, or proof of damage, or any empathy that their "lifetime" warranty is being honored?Short version,This umbrella's technology is so brilliant that not manufactured at its highest level because their expensive umbrellas should be semi flawless, yet this thin wire detached itself, doesn't close right and I'm more bothered them not responding, but instead filling up my inbox with advertisements and after.

      I am sorry to hear that your experience has been frustrating.

      We can see that there was a warranty claim submission on 3/31/25 and 4/2/25. You should have received an automated acknowledgement for both of these. The emails may have ended up in a spam folder.

      We received an email on 4/3, and we replied to that email which would have included a note saying that our warranty processing time is 2 to 3 weeks.

      You should be receiving a replacement in that time.

      My former employer gave all of us umbrellas they had purchased from ShedRain Corp., all of which had ShedRain's usual lifetime warranty. Mine broke after several years, and there was paperwork attached to the metal frame for the warranty replacement procedure but the frame actually pierced the paperwork slightly, so I wrote ******** to make sure they would honor the warranty and which address (I found 3) I should return the defective umbrella to. I asked this in a letter dated 12/21/2024. I got no response, so 2 times I inquired on their website what I should do, and each time they responded by email they would get back to me within about 48 hours. They toally ignored me-no response. I then left word on their voicemail, and again the message was that they would respond as a soon as possible. Again, no response.

      I purchased their umbrella and it broke within minutes of use, and didn't live up to it's claim of being able to sustain 75 MPH winds. I filed a warranty with the company and never got a response. I emailed and no response. I messaged on ******** and no response. It is not possible to reach anyone by phone and thus, I have no means of recourse. I believe this represents false advertising and fraud to the consumer since their "warranty" process is not real.

      When the warranty claim was submitted, you should have received and automated email, from *******, letting you know that we received your warranty claim and to allow 6 to 8 weeks for us to process the claim. I am not sure that you received that email? We don't show that we received any emails from you but we did see that the ******** message got caught in a SPAM filter so we did not see that until yesterday when we were able to search by name.

      We did reply to the ******** message on 2/3 and fast tracked a replacement umbrella to you.
