      Ok on the date of February 14 2023 I went in to get my car out of tow I have the title which has been signed off but is not in my name now this is good enough to go to DMV and have the car put in my name this is good enough to report my car stolen but they are saying it's not good enough to get my car out of town

      On January 27, 2022, a *** 325i, license plate ******, that I had sold approximately 1-2 months prior to it being towed. (I sent notice of sale to the *** and they have record of this filing). When we were called by seargents towing, we informed seargents towing that we released interest months prior with the *** and that this is not our responsibility to pay for the tow or storage. THEY told us that they had released it to another couple when it was towed about 1 week prior, which shows they must have had evidence that I had released interest. I was never called on the first tow thus I was completely unaware until they informed us of the interaction. We received a letter approximately 1 week later informing us they still held us liable despite the *** records. We called and had the same discussion again. Now I have not received a letter since that time so it was assumed they understood and would check the *** records but evidently they did not. Now on January 22nd, 2023 I received a collections letter regarding this tow that happened on January 27th, 2022 costing now $530.12. This has now effected my credit score. I request an immediate review of this transaction with seargents towing if possible please. They are harassing me at this point and would request legal action if possible. Thank you for reviewing my complaint.I am waiting for the *** for a physical copy of the notice of sale but interest picture below you will see that there was one on file to see.

      The complainant sold a vehicle and reported it to the ****** DMV. Unfortunately, the person to whom they sold the vehicle did not register the vehicle or transfer the title. By law in ******, a person remains responsible for a vehicle until a new title is applied for. If the complainant looks at the photo they provided they will see that clearly stated in two places. 

      If the complainant had provided the name of the person to whom they sold the vehicle, they would not be responsible for it. As they did not, unfortunately they are responsible.

      On Aug.16,2022 and on Aug.18,2022, participated in the nonconsentual towing of my property. From fi from 113th and *****************. My car was a green **** **** Taurus. The lien foreclosed on the second of September 2022 Rent was already over $1000- on/by the 8th of September. There was no documents or receipts for the property taken ever issued to me from the driver.

      My 27 yr old son's car was stolen from his home aprox. 2 weeks ago, he got a call that his car was ar Sereants Towing , when he called the guy tells him the bill was $360 and $30.00 per day, ,my son works for a package delivery ** and since Covid has been cut to 3 days per week, this is his only source of transportation to work, he has missed 2 if those 3 days and had to find other menas **sting him money to and from work for weeks, now they call after the bill is almost ****** and he asks if they can lower it since it was stolen and the employee says nope, but bring me the title and I'll take 200 off the tow bill! Wait so he says they ****** the cars off and keep the money plus charge you for the tow , how can they do that? His car is worth well over ******* and he had no cares that it was stolen and my son needed it to get to work. How can these tow **mpanies be allowed to keep our vehicles that we need everyday ? Seems as though they should be allowed to tow it and then send a bill but not keep our cars we need to get to work and handle our responsibilities, and then sell it and keep the money yet still send a bill for tow? I own a business and I can't just go hook into someone's car and keep it until they pay me, I send them a bill and if not paid I send them to **llection, our vehicles are a big part of our lives and needed to get to work and Dr ************ and such , I think this is horrible , and yet if we go to try to retrieve it , we can get arrested for stealing our own property they are keeping , because originally they towed it and probably ****** but then yet we didn't ask for their service and then keep it from us , out own property we paid for and own , and the charge us running the bill up daily , until we can't afford it and lake it and they make money off selling it and yest still charge us for a service we didn't ask for and keeping it from us . This is crazy , especially since he had it stoel from him now he's at another loss or **uld lose job
