      On 9/27/22 I ordered a New 35 Aluminum Triple Axle Boat Trailer to be manufactured by L AND J MANUFACTURING AND MARINE a $5937.00 deposit was made to order materials with a 6 week delivery time. Communication about progress of the Trailer continued until 10/20/22. Several attempts to make contact were made via phone and email with no response. On 11/7/22 I contacted US Bank to Issue a stop payment for goods not received. US Bank issued a provisional credit while the fraud department researched complaint. On 11/30/22 I flew into ******** to attempt to make contact with the Business, I found a eviction notice on the door from ************************ for Non Payment at ************. In addition to the deposit I also sent this business a pair of Black Oak LED Lights to be installed on the new trailer at a cost of $270.00

      In March this year I contracted for a custom built boat trailer, for which I paid a 50% deposit on the $5K invoice. My contact was *******************, though I also spoke with the supervisor and a worker who asked for, and I sent, additional design drawings and dimensions for my requirements. Since then it has been 8 months of promises the trailer would be delivered in a week, excuses about supply and welders, along with increasing failure to respond to my inquiries. Months passed, then I found that ************ had left, without any customer notification. A new secretary, *****, promised my trailer was next up, but since then (4 weeks ago) no communication, no returned calls or e-mails, and a full voice mail. I don't know if this is the worst run business ever, going out, or an elaborate scam. I would still like my trailer, or a return of deposit.

      Good afternoon, This is ***************** and I am writing in regards to the complaint which is well deserved and understandable.To make this short one weekend before the owner ********************* was going hunting for 2 weeks decided he did not want to put fourth any builds or have his company anymore. The employees went to work the next monday only to find everything was gone that made these trailers, tools, welders and more well everything. i had reached out to a few customers to let them know what had happened as they were sorry to hear of what had happened. I did not reach out to all as I started thinking this is not my business I was just an employee and thought this was not my responsibility but in fact the owners responsibility.I had told what customers I contacted to reverse their credit cards.I do feel bad and wish there was something I could do to fix this mess but feel its now the owner that should fix it.

      We pursued our complaint with the credit card company we had used to pay the business.

      We were just informed that they had reached a settlement with L&J Marine, and we have been issued a refund in the full amount.
