On August 11, 2016, BBB received notice through BBB’s Scam Tracker regarding a consumer alleging they had rented a vacation home in Portland, Oregon through GuestOne LLC. The day before the consumer was due to arrive they received notice from GuestOne that they would not honor the reservation. This consumer filed a complaint through BBB seeking a refund from the company. To date, the company has not responded. BBB found six other reviews online with consumers alleging a similar experience. In light of the allegations, BBB emailed the company in an attempt to find out more information about the company. To date, the company has not responded to BBB.
On August 24, 2016, BBB called GuestOne at 971-336-4475 and found their voicemail was full. GuestOne LLC is registered with the Oregon Secretary of State. BBB also determined Vacation Rental companies are not required to have any competency licensing in the State of Oregon.
