    We ordered building materials and prepaid. We had temporary problems receiving the order. Long's said that they had a buyer for the materials and that they would credit us for the amount we had prepaid. They said that when we got out problems resolved, we could reorder using the credit. We returned within the year to place orders for other items but were refused credit because we did not have our original receipt and Long's did not have access to their original records. Long's said they would see if they could find any back records and we were to get back to Long's.When we returned, Longs was unhelpful as they said without a receipt, there was no proof of purchase or whether or not they fulfilled the order. We found our receipt, returned to Long's again and the employee (*****) said he was going to talk to his boss. We returned again at another date and at that time, ***** refused any and all help and referred us to the owner. We called and left several messages to the owner over a period of time, but the owner refuses to return our calls. Longs has not refunded or credit the $1813.55 that we paid them.

    Good morning. I am responding to the letter we received in reference to **** **** ***********


    The date of purchase: October 14, 2021


    When ***** Marzalec came in and purchased insulation & lumber he mentioned he was working on a remodel and needed some material which was then ordered and paid for. ***** Marzalec took the treated lumber at the time of purchase and said he would be back to pick up the insulation after it arrived at Long's. ***** ***** from Long's Building Supply called the phone number at the top of the invoice many times leaving messages each and every time with no response. After a year or more went by ***** Marzalec called Long's speaking to ***** ***** informing Long's that he had a medical issue and at that time informed us that he did not ever pick up his insulation and wanted his money back. Because it had been well over a year there was no proof that he did not pick up the order as it was no longer in stock and therefor no refund was given.

    Long's has record of us picking up the lumber yet not the insulation. Because of the pick-up day due to medical issues, Long's sold the insulation to someone else but has refused to credit or refund us the amount paid for the insulation. Of course the product is no longer in stock because they sold it to someone else. Now they want us to prove a negative, knowing that it is impossible for us to show that we did NOT pick up the order.
