    I broke down at a rest area in my **** ranger pickup on 3/19/25 . I called several shops they were booked weeks out. Stickees said he could fix it in a few days. I towed the car to his residence. I went home. And on 3/22/25 he called me and said the truck runs great I can pick it up. I came to pick up today 3/24/25 and the truck was still broke down and I already paid him to diagnose and replace the MAP sensor that he claimed was the issue. Now he claims its the alternator and i dont believe him. Mind you I live 5 hrs away drive that I came all the way up to not drive away in the vehicle he supposedly fixed.

    Okay first off.  This is a year *****************************************************************************************************  The next day I diagnosed it being the map sensor part arrived i installed the map sensor an vehicle started right up as procedure before calling a customer I took vehicle on a test drive an it passed.  Let customer know his vehicle is ready. Next day he arrives to pick it up and batterey was needing help to start vehicle.  I connected my ohms meter to the battery and found 10volts being supplied there for telling me a alternator is not participating in charging system there for batterey can not maintain proper cranking amps in front of customer I tested charging system, alternator in system, fuses to all starter engine control and alternator and all fuses were good vehicle was turning over indicating starter engaged vehicle getting adequate enough fuel as well spark an still with out enough cold cracking amps from alternator.  I verified and let customer know that he now needs an alternator. There for that being not what they wanted to hear they then began to question me disrespect me and insult my intelligence and threatening to leave me a bad review if I don't fix his vehicle for free because I said it would be the map sensor an now it's more arguing with me that it's the starter not the alternator after more threats and him throwing a tantrum telling me he no longer wants to pay me to work on his vehicle. Then turns around and wants me to tow his vehicle home to him because I made him drive out for nothing.   This was all coming from a frustrated customer who is un educated when it comes to how a vehicle works an didn't like that there un reliable vehicle now needs more repairs.   He also had a power steering leak I recommended he did not want to fix it.  I provided the same 5 star service to this customer as I do all my customers and out of my 1 year **** next month this is the first time I've had someone be this difficult and willing to bad mouth and lie about a company because they were not happy about the findings on there vehicle.  I also gave this Customer a brake when I came to cost. I was accommodating to his 4 legged friend I was always in communication with customer after they dropped the vehicle off I got right to the repair the next day over all I treated this customer fairly and respectfully at my professional highest quality. Iam hurt and saddened they felt to hurt my business when this is so far off from what happened.

    I am rejecting this response because:
    I was under the impression the truck was drivable I live five hrs away. I understand the truck needs more work but that's not what I was told until I arrived. It's very frustrating the company can't understand that. And is unwilling to do business to rectify that mistake. He seems to think I shouldn't question his expertise because I'm uneducated yet smart enough to know I wasted my time and money coming out there for the same issue I left the truck there. That being that it wouldn't start. From fuel filter to alternator to map sensor it could be a number of things including the starter. Yet rather than have AutoZone test the alternator to assure me that's the problem part he wants to argue. Because the map sensor didn't change anything when he said that was the problem. So I don't truly believe he knows what's wrong considering he claimed to fix it once already and it wasn't fixed at all.
