Took money out of my paycheck for a part that they claimed I broke when I was not at fault for the fault part, never gave permission for them to take money out of my check and they are hiring people under the table committing tax evasion.

*** was a technician at our shop. While working here he broke an upper oil pan on a ********. He said he gets if we have to take it out of his paycheck little by little and that what we agreed on. *** then came into work about an hour late for the 5th time and after signing a final warning about his attendance we let him go. *** then got upset that we took the full 300 out of his final paycheck that he owned us for the part he started yelling and on video said he would burn the shop down. He was informed he is a 1099 employee as stated when he started

On 9/29/23 we dropped off our Jeep for service that included removal of a roof rack that had a weld joint failure. Watson Motorsports was to locate a welder to repair the rack. We picked up the Jeep a few days later without the roof rack and **** was supposed to get back to us about repairing or replacing. I still had not heard back so I contacted him on November 6th to find out what was going on. I was informed it would cost more to fix then probably get a new one. No costs or estimates were provided. I replied that I would be by to pick up the roof rack parts so I could attempt to find a welder. I stopped by the shop to pick up said roof rack parts and was told they were not there. I have attempted several times to get an answer from Watson Motorsports with calls, texts and ******** messages to find out where my roof rack parts are and have not only not been given an answer, but I have been completely ghosted by ****. My messages go ignored. At this point I either want my roof rack parts returned, the roof rack replaced or monetary compensation to get a new roof rack.

She brought us her jeep to look at when the roof rack was making noises. After inspecting it we found that it was broken in more than half the mounting points. We informed her what was wrong and she asked us to remove it as she needed her jeep back and try to find someone to repair it. After finding out it was beyond repair and would cost more to fix it we had let her know after she called wanting an update. The rack then sat here for almost a whole month before she came and picked it up. Unfortunately at that time most of the arms that broke off got picked up by our scrap metal guy even after we told him not to take them he did when we weren't looking.

After some time had passed we contacted ***** on Tuesday February 6th at 09:52am saying if she could come by the shop one of these days to figure out a solution that would be great. She read the message the same day and never stopped by, called or texted us back. Even though she is Neighbors with the owner **** she never once came by to resolve the issue.

I am rejecting this response because: the businesses response is inaccurate. I was never told my rack had been scrapped, or that most of the welds were broken, in fact this is the first explanation I have been given at all by the business in any form. I was never told it was scrapped even though I messaged the business owner several times asking him to tell me where it was or what happened to it. **** had several opportunities to explain what had happened but chose to ignore me instead. If the owner had told us what had happened at that time and been honest with us Im sure we could have come up with a resolution. The fact I happen to be the next door neighbor of the business owner makes this even worse on their part as I had to resort to this complaint and a public negative review on ******** in order the get any response at all from the business.
The only accurate part of the business account is that I did get the text to come by and discuss a solution after posting a negative review on ********. I informed my husband of the text and handed the situation over to him to deal with as it is his Jeep and I am busy caring for my Mother with Alzheimers. He has not yet had an opportunity to stop by to discuss with ****. We do plan to follow up and see what solution he offers to us. An apology would be a good start.

Ignoring us without any explanation is not professional, and even less neighborly.

    Sincerely,
