  BEWARE- NOT LICENSED OR BONDED! Protect yourself with a licensed and bonded contractor.Vargas Concrete Construction LLC continues to operate although they aren't licensed or bonded in ******. According to their CCB, they owe $15,820.04 in unpaid civil penalties. As such, their CCB #****** is "Not Active - Expired after a disciplinary action."Vargas Concrete Construction knowingly passes bad checks and then claims bank fraud due to their insufficient funds. Homeowners who work with Vargas Concrete Construction pay Vargas directly, Vargas pays the material supplier with a bad check and the homeowner is then left to pay double or risk a lien on their own property with no way to compensate themselves with a bond because Vargas Concrete Construction isn't licensed or bonded.

  Contracted them to pour a patio. Contract was signed at the end of September with the understanding that the work would begin in October. Paid half upfront. There were many delays on the work. Eventually the site was prepped and ready to be poured. Again there were multiple delays with a litany of excuses. Then I was given a date in late November that the project would be completed. On that day I received a text message saying that they were not going to finish the job at all. They said that they would give me a refund within thirty days. It has been well over thirty days and they have given no response to calls or texts. I have had a gravel pit in my backyard for a couple months now while I try to get a real contractor to come and finish the work.

  I would not recommend Vargas Concrete. We hired them for a concrete pad for a metal building. They were not professional, timely, courteous and the work was below the industry standard. Issues with their work included: a crack formed the entire width of the pad, low spots where water pooled, slope around the edges went in instead of out so water flowed into the building, not processing concrete quick enough with pour, and concrete not level. They agreed to make the necessary repairs but at the 4th attempt to have them repair their work and their empty promises to fix it once more, we had someone else do it. ****** is a great sales person and will tell you exactly what you want to hear when you first meet but she is not the one doing the work nor does that customer service follow when there are issues. ****** would only respond to emails or texts when you got upset and the phone was never answered. They had many excuses from weather to Covid and took an entire month off in the middle of our project with a deadline. From the few months from hiring them to now, their accreditation with BBB was revoked and several new complaints were filed against them with the **** Their standard response when asked is some customers cannot be pleased but we would be happy to discuss specifics with any prospective customers and do not want anyone else to be fooled by Vargas Concrete.
