In March 2024, I requested an estimate from this business. April 7, 2024 I had not heard from ***. So I text him. He stated he had me on the books for Wed. April 10, but a worker called in sick so it might be Thursday before he could come, remove the fencing and install new posts. I heard nothing more. In his email message about coming out Wednesday, April 10th, or Thursday April 11th, he indicated someone would be out to mark utilities. I text him after 8 am on April 10 no utilities had been marked. I heard nothing back. Thursday, April 11th, I was home all morning -nothing. I left for lunch at 11:55. I returned home at 1:05 pm. to a large truck outside my home, 2 men I do not know in my backyard and poles sticking up out of the ground, my LOCKED gate OPEN. These folks had to go through the neighbor's yard to enter onto my gated, and locked, property. I did not receive a text, call or email stating that anyone was at my home ready to work. I did not give permission to anyone to enter my GATED and LOCKED yard.I told them to leave, they said my reaction is not the first they have received as the owner is not communicating with all of his customers. I expected *** to communicate, to check in, prior to proceeding. I have large dogs that could have been in the yard at that time. Jeopardizing their life and safety as well.Unfortunately, *** does not understand what the issue may be as he felt that the job was straightforward in replacing a line of fencing. I cannot tell you the shock I felt as I pulled up to my home, seeing my LOCKED gate wide open, people I do not know, in my backyard, and an unmarked flatbed truck sitting in front of my home. *** should have confirmed the work to be done and estimated time of arrival. I suspect he had forgotten about me, and added this job to an already full schedule. It is unfortunate. As consumers, we deserve to be treated better. This has left me concerned more about safety and security overall.
