**** Reybol was paid $2,200 in advance by myself to build a new deck at my home. $1,400 for materials, $600 for a down on the labor, and $200 for disposal fee at the dump for the old deck materials. He set a start time for the job. He later cancelled and said he would instead bring the materials to my home a day later and begin the job another day. He did come over without any materials, then staged a fake fall on my property. Put on a real crazy act of being hurt. Claimed he struck his knee on a sharp rock. I did not see this fall. There were no marks, scratches, or blood of any kind. He sent me a text later saying he could not work for 2 weeks. In that same text he asked me to put $89 under my front porch mat so his brother could drop off materials. ??? He had already been paid in full for materials. He was trying to con additional money out of me. On a hunch I called around and found him 2 days later working at the Painter's house that referred him. No injury. The Painter verified that. By now I had looked at his reviews and found he had stolen money from others also. One reported him for using an injury as an excuse not to work as well. Reviews are on ******. Found he was unlicensed also. Got him on the phone and told him to return my money the next morning. He agreed, but never showed up. I made repeated attempts to contact him, but he would not respond. Finally I got a weird text from him saying he wanted to return the materials he bought and keep the $600 for the labor. He worked 1 hr. He never bought materials. When I asked him for a receipt for those he sent me a ********** Shopping Cart with items in it but no proof of purchase. I have that as evidence as well as many texts and emails. I told him no deal and to return my money in full within 24 hours. That was on 8/15/24. There was no attempt made by **** to return my money and there has been no further communications from him either. This was the act of an experienced con-man. Evidence upon request.
