    Stayed at the lodge October 2-3, 2024. This was the worst place I had ever stayed at, worse than ******* on the same street (*********). To begin with, the owner/receptionist was so rude. He kept trying to convince me that I needed to pay a deposit, although when I booked online, nothing was required. There as no pacifying that person, then he decided since I had no children and no pets, he was going to waive the deposit. The room was dingy, filthy, dark, disgusting, and there were old beer left in the refrigerator. I was desperate to rest and knew I was there only two days, so I tolerated it. But never again, this had to be the worst place ever that I have stayed at and a very rude owner/receptionist. Never again! No stars for this place.

    This was the absolute WORST experience. I've stayed in some dive hotels before and still be pretty satisfied with the experience, This one was appalling.It took them quite a long time to check us in, then despite when having made the reservations, I was told it was $50 per night deposit, it was actually a $100 per night deposit, per room. In addition, each room could support up to four occupants and I was being charged an additional $30 per room to have more than one occupant. We had two people per room. ON top of that, one of the rooms we were assigned had a lock that did not work. It locked, but it was unable to be unlocked by a room key. We were instructed by management to come to the window and request to be granted access to our room any time we needed to go in and out. Room Number one: This is the one with the non operational door lock- The deadbolt didn't work either. The curtains didn't close all the way, and the "black out" portion if it was more joke than black out. Next, there was still a price on one of the head boards written in grease pencil, the television didn't work and when we approached management we were told "the ** might or might not work" and that the remote was probably missing. Room Number 2: There was a bug flying around the room when I opened the door. The carpet was disgusting and had debris on it. The furniture looked horrible. The drawers were missing their fronts, the night stand didn't have a lamp, and was so stained with an unknown substance, I was afraid to touch it. There was nothing secure and no place to properly store or charge electronics. The bedding had cigarette ***** in both coverlets, an something sticky on them. I did ask them to change the bedding on one, because I hand't gotten a good look at the other one, but when I went back upstairs, The bathroom had stains all over it, there was a hole in the counter above the toilet tank, I didn't stay long enough to see if the a/c even worked.
