My new 2024 Dodge Hornet has been in the shop for 3 weeks without any feedback or update despite reaching out for information.

Dont trust any of the service advisors. They are shady as h*** I told them I was wrong with my car and they still charge me a diagnosis for my car. They told me they cannot release part numbers, but I can get part numbers by calling their parts department or by going online to their website and getting parts from mopar so this magical policy where you cannot give part numbers out does not actually exist. It is just something that they are preventing me from getting for no reason. Dont ever go hear they over charge.

Roberson gave me a vehicle back, that was unsafe to drive. I had in for an oil change, and the body shop changed my radiator. Pulled the lines on the ac condencer which to begin with was an unessasary step, spraying liquid freon all over the engine compartment which vaporized the next day after it warmed up, over 65 degrees. No mater what they say in their defense I have a new cabin filter soaked in freon in my possession. The motor was also overheating the next day. Drove it home after driving 3.5 hours extremely sick, with a motor that was also overheating. Called my Dr and poison control that day and was exhibiting signs of freon poisoning. Adding insult to injury they charged me $1955 to replace the condencer and lines, after their shop showed it wasent leaking, per a vacume test. You guys better make it right, or I'll take next steps to make you make it right. I'd rather just move on. This isn't my only issue, but this one is most pertinent

On 10/24/2023 the vehicle was brought into the service department of Roberson Motors for investigation of potential engine oil consumption.  At that time possible external engine oil leaks were found and a coolant leak from the radiator was noticed.  The Roberson body shop contacted the customers insurance to see if they would cover the radiator as part of an accident the customer had in January of 2023 that the ********************** body shop repaired.  ************* agreed to cover the replacement of the radiator.  According to the factory repair manual you have to discharge the a/c in order to replace the radiator.  The a/c was discharged by the service department using the Robinair R1234YF machine.  The system was found to have only 46 grams of R1234YF in it when it was recovered prior to radiator replacement.  The system is supposed to have 482 grams of R1234YF in it so it was 91% empty when we removed the refrigerant from it.  After the body shop replaced the radiator the service department recharged the system with the full amount of 482 grams of R1234YF.  The body shop then notified service that the refrigerant was only supposed to be recharged to the amount it came in with as the additional refrigerant has a large cost.  Service then recovered and recharged with 46 grams of R1234YF.  The customer states in the review that refrigerant was spilled all over the engine compartment and that because the refrigerant boils at 65 degrees fahrenheit that the gas boiled off while he was driving after he took possession back.  First at no point is the refrigerant allowed to escape into the atmosphere when working on a vehicle.  Machines are required to be used to remove the existing refrigerant prior to any repair to protect the environment, to protect the workers health, and because it is very expensive.  The refrigerant R1234YF used in this vehicle has a boiling point of -22 deg fahrenheit so even if the refrigerant had been allowed to escape it would boil off immediately and escape as a gas into the air.  It would not be in liquid form so it could not spray refrigerant liquid onto any surfaces.  It is because of this fact that a special dye is added into the a/c system oil that is contained in the system so that if refrigerant is leaking from a vehicle the oil and dye will be pushed out as the refrigerant vapors are escaping and leave a small residue on the component that is leaking.
The vehicle then came back to the service department on 10/31/23 with a concern of overheating and a/c not working.  The technician ran diagnostics on the engine overheating and found the system to be operating as designed and not overheating.  The technician inspected the a/c system and found a/c dye on the a/c condenser where the discharge line meets the condenser.  It was recommended by the technician to replace the ******* in the discharge line and the condenser.  The work was authorized by the customer and performed.  The system was then recharged with 428 grams of R1234YF and the a/c system was tested and found to now be working as designed.  The vehicle was then returned to the customer.  The customer states in his review that the vacuum test did not show any issues.  This is common with a/c systems and leaks because when you put the system into vacuum, you are trying to pull outside air into the system.  When a system is not in a vacuum it has large internal pressure trying to push all the refrigerant out of the system rather than trying to pull outside air in.  This is why dye is put in the refrigerant oil because detecting leaks by pulling a vacuum is not a good indicator of many leaks.

Roberson moters in Salem has horrible customer service! They talk down to you and truly treat you as a number and not person! Took me 2.5 months to get my jeep wrangler on their schedule for a leak and now they tell me that their sprinkler test didn't make the jeep leak but if you spray the hose on back if my jeep it leaks but warranty won't cover it!!! So my jeep leaks when we have high winds and rain but won't leak in medium rain and they won't cover it!!! The customer service was a joke as well. The lady I was talking with was so rude to me she called to apologize to me the next day!! Trying to tell me my jeep wasn't under warranty and that I couldn't get a rental car when I had been promised one 2.5 months ago!!! Horrible service go somewhere else!!!

The customer has reached out to the service manager. He is now involved in the process. We have reached out to the factory on this issue as we have been unable to duplicate any of the concerns. The customer is currently in a rental. We contacted the factory and the factory stated that no repairs can be performed until the condition is duplicated. I spoke with the customer about this and made them aware of the situation.
