    Estimate given and deposit paid on 4/4/22 for $10,000 (50% deposit, total $20,000) to excavate old concrete driveway, grade and then pave with asphalt. Initially given time estimate of 4-6 weeks **** ***** kept making excuses and pushing back our job date for months. Finally when I threatened that I wanted the deposit back, he said he was having trouble finding someone to remove the old concrete. I asked specifically that if we paid for that part, would be fine immediately after to do the paving. He said absolutely. However, he did not come (Oct 3). Then there were more excuses. When I said I just wanted the deposit back (Oct 26), he said he would have it for us by Nov 4. It is now a week later and still no deposit. New excuses, saying hes trying to get it. We would like our deposit back, even though at this point we deserve more than that. We had to hire another company that is costing us an extra $5,000, not even considering the loss of our deposit with Ashton Paving.

    I contracted with Ashton Paving, in ***** ******, to pave our driveway. This work was to include adding additional gravel per our on site conversation, grade and compact the gravel base and make two repairs to the adjacent asphalt road. The total contract amount to do this work is $10,300. They asked for a 50% down payment to put me on their schedule which I promptly sent them. They cashed the down payment check on 9/2/2022 and said they would do the work on 9/27/2022. They never showed up and when contacted *********************** told me he couldn't do the work that day because the asphalt plant was down for repair. I have been told that the asphalt plant was never shut down and they have cut off Ashton Paving's line of credit. *********************** has promised me he would come do the work on several subsequent days but then never shows and started giving me the excuse that his dump truck needed repairs to its air lines. I have repeatedly messaged and called *********************** but now he has stopped responding to my messages and no one answers when I try and call. So they have cut off all communication. At this point I just want my $5,150 deposit returned.

    Ashton paving gave me a bid for $4500 to do my driveway I paid half down $2250 they never came to do the work and now I cannot get ahold of them I want my money back
