      My complaint about the Capital Pawn shop in *********** ******, Is that my son who is mentally ill and does not know the value of jewelry. Took it to the **** shop to trade the 14 kt gold 24 inch necklace, 14 kt gold ring, and a 14 kt gold bracelet from *****. All these three costly items were turned in to Capital Pawn thinking he was going to trade in for other jewelry. I have guardianship for my some *******************************. I feel the store took advantage of him knowing his mentally unstable, which his been put in the Capital Pawn shop on their records for him not to do any business without my presence. I feel his been frauded and I was the one who purchased the items he gave to the **** shop. I went to the store and offered to give them what ever my son got for all the three items. They told me I had to wait 25 days because they were out of the store to check with police if they are stolen. They told me they would call me. I guess they did not call me and its been over 25 days.

      Our team works with clients and customers from all walks of life, and, as with all customers, we treated both you and your adult son with dignity and respect. 
      Because the **** or purchase is based on the value of the item and does not depend in any way on the guest, we are able to assess things fairly. We are required by law to wait a 25 day hold period for the *********** police to do their due diligence. At that time, we can then work with the customer to come to a decision, but due to privacy laws, we cannot divulge any information regarding another persons account even if you are related. 
      In 2020, our team let you know we would be happy to accommodate your request to not do business with your adult son if you brought in the proper paperwork as per the law. We cannot simply stop doing business with someone at the request of another person, and, if the client is being responsible, we have no reason to deny them the opportunity to **** their own items. As he had purchased a few of these items from us, we gave him a well above standard offer for them that he accepted. 
      As we have expressed before, we are happy to work with you once the proper paperwork designating you as your adult sons guardian is filed. 
      Our manager has reached out to you to resolve the situation further and we are always willing to help as much as we can within the constraints of the laws by which we are bound. As we move forward we hope to work together with both until you and your son.
