  I am a 63 year old disabled lady that lives solely on Social Security. I purchased a 2014 Mini ****** ********** with only 56k miles for $14k here at Integrity in November of 2022 and it was gone from me by May, 2023. This car was beautiful in every way. The car was not due for an oil change or anything until it reached approx $61k, there was never any indication of an oil leak or anything wrong with this car until I saw some gray smoke coming out of the exhaust, I immediately towed it to a very reputable mechanic. This car should have lasted me for a very long time as I only put around 3k miles on a car per year. I spent $300 just for a diagnosis and found out that someone, I do not know if this "someone" was the men at the dealership or the previous owner; however, there were mechanics at Integrity and any mechanic would know that Stop Leak was put in the engine instead of fixing it properly according to my mechanic. This ruined this car and it needed a new engine and most of the inner workings for approx $12k (it was suggested to not do it as these cars are notorious for this problem). I had no other options but to return it to my bank, ruin my cedit and become carless with no means of purchasing a replacement because all of my savings are gone. I contacted the dealership twice to see if they could help me in any way but of course I was ignored. Anything bought here should be checked out thoroughly by a mechanic before purchase so this does not happen to anyone else.

  Hey *****, it is always unfortunate when things of this nature happen. We always do our best to ensure that the vehicles that we offer for sale are in sound mechanical condition.  We do not ever put any kind of additive or fo any sort of "Patchwork" to our vehicles.  If we find any major default upon purchase, we sell them to the scrap yard, or through an auction to other dealers.  I never personally received any call or text regarding this issue.  I asked my brother **** (the other young man that helped you), and he said he never received any correspondence either.  We never want any of our customers to be in any compromising position.  I am not sure to what extend we could have helped, but we certainly would have done the most that we could.

   

  And regarding "stop leak" after ****** searching I am unsure if you mean an additive to stop radiator, or oil leaks. But either way I am not sure how anyone could know it was added, since from my search it seems to be a small amount added to existing fluid.  Either way, we did not, and do not do this kind of stuff to any of our inventory.  

  We do apologize that you had an issue with the vehicle.  The vehicle was purchased on 10/15/2022 and the issue arose in May 2023. So it has been about 7 months.  As you said there was no sign of any problem.  We do our absolute best, but cannot predict the future as these are used vehicles.
