      I had them come out to fix a HVAC unit at my home. They did the job and sent me a bill. Everything was working as expected. A few days after the repair the unit stopped working. I contacted them to come repair the unit where I saw a leak at the site where the repair was made. They came out and refused to complete the job and repair their mistake. I contacted other **** companies in my area and was told that this would have been repaired at no cost if they had done this work. I refused to pay for the work they did due to it being done incorrectly and they were trying to charge me for the repair that was caused by them. Then the owner continued to use foul language in front of my children standing in the window. He also threatened to turn me into collections.

      Thank you for the opportunity to address this complaint with the actual sequence of events that occurred, as there are two sides to every story

      I originally installed the system for the complainant 10 years ago.  During the past 10 years I received no call backs or complaints about the system not working

      Then last year, the complainant removed and reinstalled the unit himself, without doing any proper evacuation (per *** regulations), performed proper pressure tests, vacuums, etc.  On December 17th, the complainant called me out to fix the unit as it was not working properly following THAT mistake.  I provided a quote with a price that was agreed to and the complainant signed a Contract acknowledging that Haigh Heating and Cooling was not responsible for the system as it was removed and reinstalled incorrectly by the complainant.  On December 20th, I arrived at their home to do the work, in good faith.

      To my knowledge, the system was running correctly for almost two months before the complainant called me back on February 7th stating it was not working

      At no time during the month and a half following the completion of work had the complainant notified me that the system was not running correctly nor was there any attempt to pay all of part of the Invoice.  The complainant lied and stated they would pay my original repair invoice as a way to get me to come back out and do more work, knowing full well they had no intention of paying me.  Because the complainant called me out under false pretenses, I was upset that he wasted my time and my employees time.  Since we are currently dealing with very low temperatures, I had other customers needing my services.  I have a witness confirming that I absolutely did not use foul language at any point during our exchange.  I told my employee to get in the van and we left the site.

      Now this complainant is slamming me and my business on social media, posting pictures of a "leak" that was there as a result of him moving the unit improperly.  I am sure with the "story" that he told these other **** companies, they would tell him that they would fix the unit for free, but he was untruthful in his telling of the sequence of events.  Had he told these other companies that he did not pay the original bill and that he was the one that caused the issue in the first place, they would have had a different opinion

      This company came to collect payment for a job they did not do correctly causing my unit to not work. They told me they would charge me more money to repair their mistake. They demanded payment for the work that was done incorrectly then proceeded to tell me they would turn me into collections. The unit they repaired is still not working because they did not do the work correctly.
